Moved 340 to Orange Beach, Alabama

We made it out the weekend before Christmas and actually got to dock at TACKY JACKS!! As you are aware we took up most of their dock but is all good. It was beautiful this past weekend and we got some more work done on the boat. Had the bottom scraped and we are putting on some netting for the dogs. Can't loose them!! )Q($&&$_$&. Thank You for your comment on our boat. Still working on the custom canvas but we will get there. See you soon.

We have also recently moved to Orange Beach. We're at Sportsman's on a rack. Currently in the process of getting compounded, waxed & new canvas. We hope to have her in the water by mid March. Will look forward to meeting you all.

Blue Water Canvas in Pensacola is doing the Canvas work. Shannon Holland is detailing. They have both just begun, so I will have to wait to let you know how good they are. Both come highly recommended.

The men at Barber do my detail and wax jobs. Talk to Lee. Look at my boat. It was waxed last March.

Thanks for the feedback on detailers. 78 today and mostly sunny. Just couldn't make it there today. Looks like a new boat is in Barbers last week - Must be at least 70'. Hatters Sport fish! I would guess maybe 2.5m or more!! Several people have been there working on it. Just dying to find out the story on it. More to come:)

You bet! It would be fun to pick a spot and try to hook up. I think Vince is coming down in a few weeks. When he can nail down a date I will get some Sea Ray folks and we can maybe take the whole doc at Pirates Cove or LuLu,s or maybe meet at Calypso,s or wherever! More the Merrier.

Romar is a small marina on Cotton Bayou. Last marina before the end of the bayou headed west My boat is only 26 so they store it inside. Great service and they care about your boat. Had our formula at sportsman wasn't impressed with them. Barbers is nice if I move up in size that is where I would keep it. I would also like to meet up with yall this season
 
My boat is on blocks at the moment at Nelson's boatyard on Oyster Bay getting some fiberglass work done. Also as it hadnt been out of water for two years, also doing other things like bottom, zincs etc. It'll be mid march before I drop it back in. So anytime after that I'll be ready. Once it warms up, we go down at least two weekends a month if not more. We have a condo at Navy CoveHarbor down near Fort Morgan and that is where I keep my boat but make runs to LuLus/ The Wharf and OB regularly. You know, the $150 hamburger runs.
Two trips I would love to do this year are watching the July air show at Pensacola from the water (40 miles one way) and would love to make a run to Biloxi too (58 miles one way)
Count me in for some fun this year!
 
We go the the air show every year. Lots of fun. Last year we took my fathers formula Fastech Ran 60 or so over and back. Burnt lots of fuel. That was a 350.00 day.
 
Pirates Cove, Cobalts, Lulus, The Wharf, we are in. Our ole 340 is ready to cruise. Our friends from here called tonight saying they had made the deal to trade their 260 Dancer for the 09 310 Dancer we saw on our January 1st trip. They will stay at Barbers. We are going to try to spend more time in Alabama and Florida this year. We are excited to meet all of you.

Well it's going to be beautiful day here at Barbers Marina. 70+ degrees and 100% sun. This is just hArd to beat in Jan.. Going out for the day and make the rounds. Also for folks with an IPhone or IPad there a couple of very cool apps out that I!m going to try out today. Once I test them I will post again.

1st is Commandor Lite. It's free and with google map overlay it seems vy good. Can also back up speed.
2nd is GPS me also with Google Map overlay. Check them and see if you agree.
 
We are at the Wharf, and have used Barbers for service. A first class operation no doubt.

We also traded our 370 dancer for a Cruisers 455 in November. Bought it in Destin, and moved it back to the wharf.
