You don't have to wait until next year to see which way the winds are blowing. There are two gubernatorial races this year that are looking an awful lot like a referendum on Obamamametrics.

If Deeds loses in Virginia, it's not going to look good for Obamamama. The race is being run by McDonnell as a pro- vs. anti- Obamamama. So losing would be a slap in the face to Obamamama. Forget the rest of his agenda. The Blue Dogs are going to be running for the hills. If Corzineweenie loses in left wing, number 50 out of 50 for pro-business policies Noo Joisey, then that'll be a kick in the groin to Obamamama. He might as well resign or play ball with the conservatives like Comrade Clinton did after the 1994 election and the Contract With America.
