do any democrats own boats for fucks sake?
Hey, what the **** happened to the word ****, it was automatically ammended with A set of asterisks??? Why can you see it on the other guys posts?
whoa!
there's some feeling here!!!
i love your contributions 4suns, and i respect your opinions (and your help when ive needed it...). and i know that im an outsider. but it isnt just american citizens that "live" in an obama world. we all do, cause america is the "biggest kid in the playground".
i stand by my comments above re future history.
i lived in the middle east at the time of the first gulf war, with my wife and 4 little kids - just across the shaat al arab waterway from the bad guys. you want to know how come we could sleep at night? i'll tell you: because the "biggest guy in the playground" looked after us all. i love the USA. i support the great majority of your foreign policy. i worked for a US comapny for 20 years - have many GREAT friends from that time. i dont apologise for being british.
there is a world recession. WORLD. fancy becoming US president at THAT time. give the fucking guy a chance.
PS dont you just love a good debate?
"Cynicism is a sorry kind of wisdom."
Since when can we say **** and get away with it??? Why was I not told??? I have a terrible habit of swearing…
do any democrats own boats for ..... sake?
They don't own them. We sent some over there to stuff them in and bring them back so they would tend our fields. I would donate mine to give a few a round trip.
Bush was a republican?
Reminds you of JFK. You have to be kidding! I don't know how old you are, but I was around during JFK's time. Obama would call him a "Right Wing Extremist". Remember "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".i am british and i am an obama fan. seems to take a lot of knocks on this site. dont know why.
from a distance (europe), he reminds me of JFK: A man who truly wants to make a better world. I can understand thats not easy.
politicians are such a sullied bunch - cant talk straight, feather their own nests, driven by power. it's actually refreshing to have an idealist. i know idealism can appear to be naievity to some, but its better than the alternative.
in spain almost every mayor is corrupt - its even expected. you're a fool if you're mayor and you're not on "the take". what a sad state of affairs. no: i'll take the idealist every time.
i honestly believe that history will judge obama as a giant force for positive change in the 21st century. of course......... that'll be after his second term!

I'm going to paraphrase a line from my favorite movie...
"How dare you sleep under the blanket of security that we provide, then question the manner in which we provide it."
Just so you know, Obama will allow that blanket to wither away, leaving you cold, tired and hungry. You like him so much you can have him. There are a half dozen others we'll throw in free of charge.

nice quote mwph - shame its totally irrelevant to what i said.
i never, ever questioned the manner in which it was or is provided. get your facts straight.
i'm no bleeding-heart liberal and the quote you use (jack nicholson, i believe) is utterly inappropriate to describe my position. i am offended by the inference you put forward.:smt013
