I have seen photos of an install that was in front of the v berth, at least then you could watch it from multiple areas in the cabin. Please post photos once you install, I have been thinking about doing the same thing.

Can anyone with a single look to see if your exhaust manifold looks like it has been wet and rusting the exhaust manifold on the front starboard cylinder just above the fuel filter?
mine looks like it has been wet a long time and is eating up the manifold.
http://www.backtoboating.com/attwood-boat-parts/gas-springs/Has anyone replaced the gas spring lifts on their engine hatch? If so, what did you get? It appears from the parts manual that it is 120# lift. Those appear to be few and far between.

I bought several sets from these folks. I once ordered the wrong one by mistake (20 psi vs the 120) and had no hassels returing it.

Hi all, boating season is upon us and honey do lists are mounting up! The wifey wants to convert the aft closet into a pantry, to store dry goods for the galley. Closet is somewhat useless since it isn't very deep. Have any of you installed shelves in this closet? Looking for some material/ mounting ideas.

Saying goodby to the 270 group. Just purchased a 1991 350/370 Sundancer. The 270 was a great boat and we put nearly 300 hours on it in less than 4 years. We hope the new boat will bring us great new adventures. We are giving up trailering which means no more Lake Michigan or Door county. We will be limited to Lake Winnebago where we already spent 90% of our time.
