Team; I found a screaming deal on some bow-rail fender mount/brackets and am told that they will fit 3/4" to 1" bow-rails. I have scoured this site and "Google" but have not been able to determine what the diameter of the Bow-Rail is for these boats. Does anyone know? Thank you.
Hello,
Got my first Sundancer and my 2nd SeaRay this past week.
It's a 1997 270 with 7.4 and Bravo II.
I am overhauling a sound system. All of it.
So far the components I have purchased are :
2x Alpine PDX-V9 5 channel amps
8x Polk MM651UM speakers
2x Polk MM1040UM subs
Obviously I need to situate all the speakers, I have some ideas(kinda), but was wondering what other people have done so far.
Any pictures would be a huge help!
I know some guys on here have similar setups, some probably even better. Just looking for few ideas.
P.S. No I am not a juvenile delinquent aiming to destroy piece and tranquility that boating is to people. 4 out of 8 speakers and 1 sub will be switched(well 1 amp will actually be switched, but you get what I am saying), to use only in deserted places etc.
Thank you!
Hi there!Welcome aboard! The 270 is a great vessel. This is not the thread for your boat, it is here: http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/936-Mid-90-s-270-Sundancer-Thread and the first post has a little history of the model.
You are far from the only power stereo fan here, you can see current Jason's project here:http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php/65115-Official-Aftica-Stereo-Install-thread
So read and join in on the Mid 90's 270 thread...

Hello, I am new here. I just purchased a 1999 270 from a family that has not run it in 5 years. It unfortunately sat in a lake uncovered for those years. It had about 6" of standing rain water in the engine bay and standing water in the cabin. I have not attempted to do anything to it yet other than cover it up and dry it out using heaters. Shore power seems to work fine, but I have not replaced the batteries yet. I am tempted to try starting the engine off of an auxiliary gas can to see if it will turn over. The boat is going to need a major amour of work just dealing with the cabin interior, but the purchase price was almost free. Any tips from anyone on the forum would be greatly appreciated. I have been around boats from 26' - 60' all of my life, but never owned one.

I bought a '99 270 wide this year, and I was wondering - what is the minimum draft with the drive up, but NOT in trailer position? I expect the trailer position leads to the 2' minimum draft. I'm gathering I pretty much need 4' of water to be safe, then hit the trailer button and walk it in.
Also, at the helm switches, I have one that just says Lights on the left side. What does it do? The Nav and Cockpit Light switches are on the right side. I do not have a spot light.
I feel silly having to ask this. There are two light switches above the stove in the galley. Anyone know what the right one controls? '99 270DA.
First post in the thread.... (Actually was directed to Mid-90's posted there, but have since found my way over here...
