A&B Lobster House. The upstairs restaurant was great every time we went.

Surprisingly we have never had dinner there upstairs…. Walked by the place a million times. I told my wife… and she already had it on the list. She is on it

Also love Half Shell, Dante’s, and Lagerheads-they have really good fish tacos, and a little beach area that’s really nice

And fr is right, A an B is great, Alonzos is awesome as well, and if you enjoy cigars and after dinner drinks Berlin’s is a great place also.

We are always the first couple there as the other two couples come from Canada …. Canadians are always a bit slower
The second we land we grab a cab and go to the conch house…. Luggage in tow have a drink at the bar over looking the marina…. Nothing better

You do that drive once…. For me never again. ….. painfully slow getting there in anticipation…. Hung over and too long on way back…. Try flying direct into key west next time and you will never have to convince yourself the drive is “fun”

Second time in 3 years I've towed down and "Clementine" was our hotel room in City Marina.
Two of the most fun vacations we've ever taken.

Another good, but tiny, place we went to several times was Moon Dog cafe. We went back a second time just so I could the the Fishermans Bowl again.
First place for dinner, though was fresh snapper on the boat!

We usually stay in the Pierhouse when in KW, and always got the garden room, One year we chose the beachfront room, til the admiral noticed its above the topless beach......she made us switch rooms back to the garden, lol.

I love driving and hate flying. It’s a cool, if not long, drive.

I stay at Casa Randy… a life long friend who lives just north of the airport on the canal. Fun times. Been to Fantasy Fest numerous times.
It’s fun going with a local because he knows so many people.
His wife owns the Dairy Queen.

Here I am at the Mel Fisher Museum holding something special.

Here is a close up. A 8 lb Spanish gold ingot. Gold worth about 250K at the time. But with the tax stamps it’s worth over 500k.

Bubba and his brother were guarding the door to make sure I didn’t try to make a dash for it.

Yea, but I got a half day in before we moved. It was ok, didnt want to be the guy on the balcony all day on the cell phone anyway

I caught a mahi on a private charter I booked, and A & B cleaned and cooked it for us, with our choice of sides, was kinda cool.

Louie's Back Yard was always a good choice for a good time.

My wife for some reason doesn’t like Louie’s …. She said it was off the list this year. I can get my head around it as I am not always thrilled with the wait (with a reservation) and the seating and or the view….the food never really stood out. I always get the feeling that you are there because they are… so maybe she is right

Thats interesting, I havnt had what i would call a bad experience there, but wouldn't call the food memorable. We were just discussing a trip down and she said she would like to go there again. Honestly, I havnt found any of the cuisine in the keys a special, maybe because im spoiled being in the Metro NY area.

last time there it was shore leave time and Duvall St was like Bangkok, so the hole in the wall places werent on our radar.

South Beach, on the other hand had some great choices, and you can dine till 1 AM.

And. for hangover lunch, make it over to BO's Fish wagon if he's still vertical.
Many an interesting day on Page Two with him and Pat Dailey. At least, that's what I'm told.
