Keowee Labor Day raft up

Duke power has a public landing on Crowe Creek, north east side that is usually low traffic as locals is it. Chech it out on google.
We will be launching from there on Sat. What's the plan for the raft up location? If you try to lock in at the falls before anyone else gets there? We have been using the small island at the end of CroweCreek. I'll try to get the number for you to check out.
 
Hope to be coming from the West. Maybe Keowee Marina??

Sorry for the delay in response and information, business travel has kep me busy. Lynn and I, finally made it to the lake this weekend, Looks like we have the following boats and people from Keowee for the 3rd annual.

Beach House Richard and Sherry
Solar Interest Ben and Rhonda
Boat not Named Tom and Karen
Lets Ride Clyde Ben and Marie
Mother Ship Robert and Caroline
Boat not Named Bret and Jennie
Ringy Dinghy Gary and Lynn
"The Can Boat from Last Year" Peter and Debbie

Sweet Surrender Ryan and Keri are checking calendar to see what plans they have for Labor Day.

We will more than likely pick up a few other folks before the holiday weekend.

If Saturday is a go I will let everyone know, but we are open for either Saturday or Sunday. Also we have been discussing the where, and have had several suggestions we will continue to work on that. All of the above boats are at Keowee Marina , so we can certainly meet all who will be putting their boats oin there.

Chuck, I picked up three bottles of Bloody Mary Mix.

I was worried we were not going to have a good sized group, but it definately looks promising now. And your bloody marys might even lure Chuck!

Please remind everyone to ORDER T-Shirts! I posted the method/site on this thread. The url can be copied and emailed to them or you can print or write it out and give it to them. All they have to do is go the the site, enter the group # for our shirts and order. Or, I can send the info to you by email if you want to get it to them that way. Hopefully with the group you have gathered, we will be able to follow through with ordering the shirts. I think it was a 25 shirt minimum for the price I posted and if we get 35+ it will go down slightly in price. Aug 26 is the suggested cutoff to ensure I have them by raft up time. We might could add 2 more days to that if I can arrange delivery up there instead of my home address. We will be arriving the Wed before though, is why.

As far as the day, either is fine with us, but Sat may be better for those that will be traveling. You all know the lake better, so for raftup location, we will go with your choice! As far as where to meet up, we can tweak that one later as we may all be starting out in differnt areas/ramps and can arrange a better meet up place once we have a raftup location decided on.

Alright...I'm excited now! Lets get this party rolling! :thumbsup:

If we make it, it will be for Saturday only for us.

DEADLINE IS HERE! LOW ORDER THUS FAR. Will contact company tomorrow to see if we can get deadline extended a couple days if I have the shirts mailed to me AT KEOWEE vs my home. This still puts us at a FRI of SAT (this week)deadline at the absolute latest. Also, I will find out how much the price will change with a lesser quantity. Thus far, only 10 shirts have been ordered. These are good quality and great design so PLEASE order ASAP if you want a shirt!

Was able to get tshirt order deadline extended until Monday morning aug 30. If there are not enough orders, printing will be cancelled and your accounts will be credited.
 
Hey everybody! This IS NOT GARY but Admiral Lynn. I can't remember my user name (old timer's or something kicking in).

I will make cake...if anybody has any special requests for cake flavor let me know. If not, it will be chocolate. It might be chocolate anyway but I will consider reqests. ;)

And just for the record, I WILL NOT THROW BLOODY MARY MIX again while we are traveling. It's a miracle I made that toss last year to Sweet Surrender. However, we can make a bloody mary for any one who wants one as long as you don't want it thrown at ya!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

As we get closer to this Saturday's 3rd annual Keowee Labor Dat raft Up, we need to decide on where we all want to meet and what time we want to get started. We have decided to return to the same spot we went to last year, which is at the northern end of the lake.

So for those who are going to come to Keowee Marina to put their boats in the water , all of us leaving from the marina will meet there. For those who are going to be putting their boats in elsewhere we will need to choose a spot to meet as well.(looking for thoghts and suggestions)

There are a group of us who will be spending the night on the hook at the raft up spot and all are welcome to join.

We are also watching Earl in the Atlantic, looks like it is going to stay east and the weather for Saturday looks great.

Please provide the GPS settings for the raft up. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. Sad to say that Saturday will be our only day on the water. Looking to make the most of it.

Kes, I will reply to e-mail today. I was on the water all day yesterday. The falls were a bit cool so we beached Old Skool a little farther south. Found the water was perfect.

Did I read something you said about the lake being down? What ramp do you use? Wonder what Keowee Marina ramp is like?

Would you happen to have the GPS coordinates from the raft up last year for Bill? Also the lake is down a little, about normal for this time of year and the ramp at Keowee Marina is fine, I help a friend put his boat in a couple of weeks ago no issue.

Now the big question, are you going to be able to join us?

Gary, what time you thinking of leaving the marina? We will meet you as the caravan heads north. How bout at the big concrete thing. Is that a generator, turbine or what?
