Mile Creek?

Yes, the south side of the island is pretty well protected as it kind of opens into a large bay area. It seems wide open but the line of islands to the west of it, hold the boats out quite a ways. Waves from traffic hit the beach almost perpendicular.

Sandy beach slopes away rather quickly for larger boats to get close. I beach Old Skool and the water is chest high at the back of the boat and still standing in sand.

Thanks Bill, it was great meeting you and your family. Pro may be pushing it, lets say we moved up from pee wee to JV. The people waiting for me to trailer the boat this afternoon probably do not want to see us around there anytime soon.

Thanks for posting the pictures. You boat definitly raised the property value on my island. :smt038:smt038

We came back in and a newbie with a 18foot ranger bass boat took 20 minutes to load. He backed down in a number of time and we just patiently waited remembering my first time.

Because I wasn't able to get from Charleston to Keowee sooner, I only got to an hour or so at the raft up, but it was great meeting everyone (Gary and Lynn, Richard and Sherry, and Ben and ?...sorry, my memory is getting worse every year...I need help!) and seeing the beautiful Sea Rays on the beautiful lake. Gary and Lynn shared some amazing food--thanks. Sorry I missed seeing Chuck and Bill. Thanks to everyone for the hospitality and especially to Nicky and Janet, Kes and Jay, and Jerry and Judi for having an orphan boater hang out with them. And a big thanks to Paul and Jane for the fantastic cake. I hope to see everyone again on the water soon. I'll try to bring the 290 next year.

Did I read that right?? SeaRayPaul showed up?

This was my first time to be a part of the Keowee Labor Day Raft Up.It was a pleasure to meet the Keowee Gang. We look forward to returning to Keowee and boating with the new friends that were made.
Also I am glad to be able to claim Chuck as a boating friend, not just a "INTERNET FRIEND" ! (grin)

Yes it was good meeting you too, but just keep the "Internet Friends" between us or those other people will just keep talking about us.:smt043:lol:
