Ungava Gin (google it) and tonic with a lemon twist and lots of ice. Simple and great on a hot afternoon.

Wife and I are not big on cocktails so don't tend to stock the ingredients to get too fancy. Craft beer and the odd scotch or sipping rum here and there for me. She likes the premade vodka sodas - none for me thanks. Big bold red wines for both of us - not a wine snob, but hate cheap bad wine.

Try Orin Swift’s “Machete”.... great red wine.

I'll start.
There is a local Mexican restaurant that makes a killer pomegranate margarita. After partaking in many of them the bartender coughed up his secret recipe. I make it for everyone..
Anyone thirty?

I’m a IPA beer guy but the Admiral loves anything pomegranate, would you share your margarita recipe?

I'm definitely more of a beer guy (stouts and porters primarily) but I took this thread to be more about cocktails.

Clear American water from walmart and white rum. No calories and not heavy. Has a bit of carbonation. And since I just put four shots in the bottle the water comes in, everyone thinks I don't even drink! Admiral always has Trulys on the boat for her and the other girls. Mimosas for the girls and scratch mixed bloody maries for the guys in the morning.

John's had few to many. I do the diet version. Diet ice tea and regular vodka with lemonade.

1.5 shots Patron Anejo
0.75 shot Cointreau
Fresh squeezed lime juice from 1/2 a lime
POM Pomegranate juice to taste (i use more juice for those who don't want to taste the tequila, less who do)
And this year, I added a splash of club soda to give it some bubbles

Make sure you have a good lime juicer. Makes a world of difference.
