The boat is secure, the lines are all tied. Your friends are aboard and you offer them your signature cocktail

What is it?

I'll start.
There is a local Mexican restaurant that makes a killer pomegranate margarita. After partaking in many of them the bartender coughed up his secret recipe. I make it for everyone..
Anyone thirsty?

We have a blender built into the kitchen counter. When we started in 2005 we made blender drinks. All were Mexican base theme. Now it is either scotch, brandy or beer. Seems the fun of making drinks is gone.

I have phases.

This year has been Sapphire and tonic with lime.

Before that I was on a dark rum kick with Gosling’s a favorite. The occasionally Dark and Stormy was good too.

Then there are the Cosmopolitans my wife and I perfected over time. 1 you’re good. 2 you’re rounding the bend and probably getting laid. 3 getting laid is a certainty with getting arrested a distinct possibility.

Rocket Fuels were my go to this summer. (A Pina colada with attitude and a 131 shot floating on top).

1 rocket fuel is plenty....

Beer Guy.... Usually Miller Lite Cans... Can fit more in outside fridge... Or Corona lights as well...

They put a craft brewery in our marina this year. The lite offering is excellent. Dockmate always has a good supply of Busch latte as well.

In the spirit of tiki drinks I almost forgot about the best, authentic Mai Tai there is.

If you’re on lower Cape Cod, go to East Falmouth and locate a Chinese restaurant called The Golden Sails.

Best Mai Tai on earth but they’ll only serve you 2. My brother in law is responsible for that rule.

I won the dock Margarita mix off this year.

The Yamazaki single malt Neat if in the mood for a conversational sipping
Just about any big bold red from Napa (my backyard)
Lately my go-to refreshing beverage has been the flavored seltzer drinks from Budweiser, I always feel like I'm handing in my man card when I pop one open but they just seem to hit the spot;)

When I was new to my boat, and was terrified of docking in front of dockmates, a dozen people at the fuel dock, the hundred + people up at the restaurant at the picture windows 100' away from my slip, the routine was: sweat a LOT, back in, tie up, plug in, crank AC, duck into cabin for 10 minutes, have 3 tequila shots.

After that first year, now that I love the process, and getting it *just right*, I will usually make a Jameson, squeeze of lime, few dashes of bitters, ginger ale, while silently congratulating myself on not whanging into various things.

My go-to refreshing beverage has been flavored seltzer water called "Refresh Ice" over ice in a tall insulated glass. A couple of shots of vodka goes down well with either the coconut limeade or coconut pineapple flavors. And the black cherry wasn't too bad either...

Ungava Gin (google it) and tonic with a lemon twist and lots of ice. Simple and great on a hot afternoon.

Wife and I are not big on cocktails so don't tend to stock the ingredients to get too fancy. Craft beer and the odd scotch or sipping rum here and there for me. She likes the premade vodka sodas - none for me thanks. Big bold red wines for both of us - not a wine snob, but hate cheap bad wine.
