I'm getting frequent instance sof not being able to load the clubsearay.com sight into my browser ... this goes on for 10- minute sior more.

Are we running out of bandwidth or... is it just me?

It happened to me as well. Also said I was signed in but could not post, had to sign in again (few times) to allow mw to post a reply

Yup same thing here. Been doing that the last couple of days but seems to be getting worse.

Time for a supercharger ...

Dear host ... perhasp its time to check out a new hosting service.

I thought it was my work catching on to where my mind was while I am here.

:smt017 I assume you've used them before (One of my businesses is web hosting) Typically companies that offer what looks to good to be true 3000gb of bandwidth for $6.95 a month usually is and there is always something they are not telling you. I bet if you actually tried to use that 3000gb of bandwidth they would say something. Bandwidth is one of the biggest expenses in web hosting.

I emailed Jim about this a day or so ago. Here was his reply:

"Thank you for the heads up, we get a number of these emails and I have been trying for months to get my IT company to move clubsearay.com into its proper place. They keep promising...."

Lotts a Choices

Yes, I do use Bluehost now and have for two years ...

They keep adding to the service and lowering the price. They are located in Idaho and have an all US team. I don't know them from a fence post just did a search for the top rated sights and they were in the top ten by all the pundits (probably paid listings)

But what is important is our magnamious hosts get us to a place that can stand the growing bandwith requirements.

I don't know where were are hosted now, but this community is growing every day and its showing signs of stress.

I have noticed it as well; I usually get up, walk away, come back and it usually works. Jim is aware of it and is working on it. Before we complain too much to Jim realize he has not said one word about charging to use this site or that we post way too many pictures.

Please be patient with this inconvience...

I kinda figured out that it was a free site for yous so i didnt want to say nothing.. didnt want to offend anyone.

I for one would have NO PROBLEM paying for this wonderful site. Even if on a volunteer basis. It might help to offset the cost to Jim. Regards, Brian

like i had stated before.. most sites dont ask you for money.. but give you an option to be a "contributer" and if you contribute i think its like 5 bucks or whatever limits they say you get a "contributer"tag under your name in blue or whatever color the mods choose.. and also the "contributers" get a special room that only they can go into.. this is just an idea.. and also you can change your name like if in our situation it says "admiral" you can make it whatever you want.. thats a perk of being a contributer..

these are just ideas and things i have noticed in other forums!

Lord knows the information I've recieved would certainly be worth a contribution. I have no problem with that at all... I think as crock suggests would be appropriate.

Same here...and.....

The host.....byowneryachts.com is down at the same time.

I have checked this like 100 times.

Not good. This side may be for fun but the 'income' side goes down as well.

I have never had a problem with it, but I'm not doubting at all that you guys are getting these errors. We have had a few times where the server was down for whatever reasons over the past year, but nothing day to day that I am aware of. I clearly have a hard time with choosing the right IT solutions and don't know who to trust. Its always a big effort to make the switch. The company I chose about 8 months ago has promised, and promised, and promised to move this site to the server we are renting from them but it still hasn't happened. they don't even come up with excuses, they just say "no problem, we'll do it", then 2 weeks go by and nothing, then I bug them again.

I don't need any money or donations or anything, although if Bridog really wants to volunteer he can come vacuum my house or clean the boat.

I'm going to bug the hosting coompany again and se what I can get done. Check back with me in 2 weeks :smt017 :smt015 :smt021

I just checked the stats, we do about 50Gb a month, right now we are only at 10% of our monthly capacity, so we are hardly anywhere near maxing out the hosting account.

To all you hosting experts: Is it possible that there are times when too many people are on the site and it could cause these errors? I know we have a bandwidth limit, but are there also such controls that govern how many people can be on the site at once?

based on my trouble shooting it's not the host, but the DNS service. their are times when you can't get to clubseary.com, but if you type in the IP address in the url it works fine.

I think the provider is caching out the DNS entry quicker than it's getting updated....

any way my 2 cents...
