Ideas/Suggestions for a CSR Potomac/Rapahannack River gathering?

April 25, 2009, Solomons, need to pick a marina.

I am thinking we may want to change the title from "Potomac/Rapahannack" to Middle Chesapeake Bay since it's turning into a Solomons cruise/trip.

I would be interested, but may have to be next year. There's lots for me to do and I'm not sure I'll be up for a cruise that early in the year. If you guys schedule one later in the year, or next year, I'm in. Also, if you plan one in the Potomac, I'll make my way there. Colonial Beach is just down the river from me.
 
For the folks coming from the south maybe we can stop overnight somewhere on the Potomac...Colonial Beach is close.

That sounds good...I recommend either Zahniser's marina or Spring Cove. Zahniser's marina is closeer to island restaurants and bars.
 
If you're coming up from the South, Colonial Beach is further up the Potomac than Solomon's is up the bay. Kinsale and Coles Point are easier as stopovers.

Greg, Dave,

Time to crank up the CSR Potomac/Rappanahock get together a notch and see if we can get this on track for the week end of April 25th. which I believe was the majority's preference.

In addition I'm interested in seeing if there is a group of people interested in a longer trip up the Bay with stops possibly in Saint Michael's, Rock Hall or there abouts, Baltimore Inner Harbor, Annapolis, St Mary's and or other locations that might be of interest.

Let's arrange a get together in Deltaville the last week end or first weekend of February and see whom, what & when we might put something like this together. I'd assume this would be a 5-8 day trip covering a fairly good distance. Late May or June would be a good time to schedule when the weather is nice depending on number of kids in school that might be going with the parents.

February will be good because it falls before March Madness, because UVA will be in the run for the national Championship.

Dave, You need to have your meds checked because you obviously are drinking to much cool aid with them and it will riot your brain out. :smt021 Seems like with your anticipation of the Hoo's quick climb needs to plane out a little bit unless you're on the take as well. :wow:
 
Is there any chance that we can do this on the Tiki Bar weekend? I just had a conflict come up on the 25th. I don't even know if we can get slips on the 18th, but I can call around if we move the date. Otherwise, I'm going to have to back out.

There's always BIH.

Same for us...either weekend works, but our first vote is for the 25th.
 
Well, I guess it helps to read all of the comments, it looks like April 25th at Solomons. John and Greg, what are you thinking about for the longer trip? Would love to do that but need to check schedules, etc. Dave, are you going on the longer trip?

Jack, we are planning on meeting at Norview on the 24th this month to discuss this trip and maybe other trips. I know your boat is not in the water but you are welcome to join us then.
