Ideas/Suggestions for a CSR Potomac/Rapahannack River gathering?

Greg,

You want to fire this puppy back up again as time is getting near and we want to make sure everyone whom wants to go get's thier information in asap. I also recall someone specking up about shirts so whom ever that was should be in charge if the shirt department.

Time to repost and get er going.

I am in the water next week and am ready to go - so, do we have me, John, Greg, and Dave going? Anyone else? Also made my reservations for Labor Day - looking forward to that. John, thanks for the info about the July trip to St. Michaels, etc. Maybe we can talk about all of this at Solomons - will that work for everyone?

Same here, Jack.

I lost two boats from my marina that backed out last minute. I called to adjust my reservation and they said we're still showing 5 boats in our group. By my count, there's you, me, Hoo's Dave, John, and Mr. MrsRobinson (Greg.)

I think we're looking good.

Larry,

Dave and I were at Norview our Deltaville Marina this weekend trying to get ready. Dave went out Friday for a while and the water was pretty rough. I wanted to take Gimme Time out Saturday but the tide was to high for me to get out from under the roof and at that time roughly 11:00AM everythng looked pretty good. An hour later it kicked up with the wind and rough water so Dave & I both headed home Saturday.

The weather looks pretty good right now for Friday so Dave & I are going to make a call Wednesay morning based on weather forcast. It's about a 56 mile run from Deltaville and we have two boats right now that have potentail family health and moving issues so Wednesday wi'll make the call from our end.

John

John, the weather looks like it's going to cooperate. Steadily getting better through Saturday with predicted 70's for the high temp. I hope you and your group get the other issues resolved. Friday's supposed to be very nice too. The only question is how soon the next system rolls in on Sunday.

Is Greg still going?

Greg is iffy but everyone else unless something happens are on board and looking forward to the trip. We plan to leave Deltaville at noon so we should be there around 3:30. Later than we'd like but Dave's daughter has a school activity that will put them later leaving Richmond.

Looking forward to see ya there!

We are planning on Coles Point Tavern or Kinsale on Saturday, if anyone wants to meet. We are out of Colonial Beach.

John, Jack, Jay, Dave, and respective families, great time guys. I believe we have ourselves a tradition. We're going to need Greg for the t-shirts. I'll entrust that to you all ... start putting on the pressure. Technically, it was Mrs. Robinson that hooked us up at BIH last year so work on her. And mention free vodka. She showed up with that, too.

The only good shot I got of the group was out of focus. Our friends Kelly and Kevin may have some usable pics. I'll post them if/when I get them.

Did you see how many fishing boats there were out there? The bay was blanketed with them. I was dodging them all the way home. I'm thinking of staying an extra day next year and doing some fishing. Fresh "rock on the barbie?"

That's all for now. The River Gal says hello.

Mrs. Robinson wishes she could have come as it sounds like it was a great time. Too much going on right now and it was a tough decision to make to not come, but the right one.

We are hoping we can make it to Solomons before the season ends this year and we are hoping to make it up north later this season with the gang.

Larry, We also spent the entire trip home dodging fishing boats. A couple of times the radar was just a solid mass of them off the bow. What I really like is when they block the entire bay and then get angry when your wake rocks them a little bit. I like the idea of staying an extra day if for nothing else than to recover!

Well guys & girls I have to say the Admiral & I had a great time as well. Good times laughing, telling stories and meeting Larry & his gang were the hi-light of the trip. I might have woke a few fishing boys up when I came through as by the time you guys got there they were wall to wall and waiting for you. Kind of like sailing boats that heave & hoe with the wind and then look at you like where the _ell are you going and why are you making any waves. Didn't hear anyone fussing about the container ships coming by on one side as we tried to pass on the South side but that's normal.

Oh well I'm headed down this Friday to look for a little oil leak that got & kept my attention this weekend. Both kitty cats ran fine but I found about a quart on the floor when I got to the marina. :smt089I found a little oil running down the port side engine on the front port oil pan bolt. Decided to let the heat die down and look for the source this weekend.

Plan on making reservations tomorrow for the Cape Charles get together but may not be able to make the trip unless something gives. Oh well I guess I can always ride along somewhere as a spare hand when needed for docking services!

Have a great week and see ya soon.:smt038

Hey Martin you can be our dock hand

Now I am ready for the next trip - the boat ran great - the weather was wonderful - the Tiki Bar was great, I think, and the company was great. O.K., guys its time to move on to the next adventure. Greg, hope you can join us this time. We cannot make Hampton (wedding) but we are going to do the trip in July and the 4th of July at Bay Creek and the Labor Day trip. Family obligations keep me home this weekend but am heading down next Friday.
