Ideas/Suggestions for a CSR Potomac/Rapahannack River gathering?

My boat is in winter storage but will be back in the slip on April 1st. John mentioned Richmond, either one is fine with me, I can find a place to stay or come back the same day.

You have a 370 and need to "find a place to stay" Can't you just spend the night onboard? I thought that was the deal?

Just spoke to Solomon's Yachting Center. They have about 15 transient slips available for the weekend of the 18th (Tiki Bar weekend.) That's the only weekend I can make it and I've already made my reservation. I alerted them to this "group" and they asked that folks start calling in with their respective boat (and more importantly, credit card) info. Anyone interested in going just say you're with the Diaz group (not that that really makes any difference; it's first call, first served.)

For those not familiar with SYC, they have a couple of features that I really like, particularly for this weekend: 1) floating docks, 2) a nice pool, 3) a clear view of the Tiki Bar and anchorage, 4) walking distance to all of downtown, Tiki Bar included, and 5) free bikes for our use.

I'll be there with at least two other boats from my marina. No need to make elaborate plans, we're just going to sit around, eat, drink, smoke, shoot the s$!t, and stagger over to the Tiki Bar if the mood hits us.

I'm getting there Friday and staying through Sunday. See you there!

Made our slip reservation for the 17th and 18th

OOPS, Libby and I sat down last night and looked at the calendar and found that we have a long standing commitment for that weekend, so we are going to have to bow out. However, we are VERY interested in future trips.

Keep me in mind if you guys plan one later in the year. I'll bring the tools and you guys can help work on my ride while you guys with new rides are tied up!:smt038:smt021

Looking forward to it Jack!

They are winterizing Mrs R tonight ;-(

I got a little nervous with the forecast for temps in the teens this week.

I just remembered, there's a diver that I've used before that has his boat at SYC. If anyone is going to be getting their boat's bottom scrubbed around that time, wait and get it done there. That's what I'm doing, anyway.

I was just thinking about this... did anyone secure their slips with a credit card or check or something? I reserved three slips for me and a couple of buddies and they didn't ask for a security deposit. I'm now wondering if I actually reserved the slips and there doesn't seem to be anyone there.

They did not ask for my credit card on the first call. Hoos Dave said they asked for his so I called back. Turns out he was not in the office when he took my reservation the first time, but I was reserved. Gave them my credit card # during the 2nd call.
