I don't like yard work!

That's what garneners are for. Keep America's small business working!

We had to hire a kid to ours due to my boo boo's. :smt021

I watch him from the window and he's beating the sh^t out of my Ferris. :smt013

Tom,
Couldn't agree more! Didn't mind it before we bought the boat, now just a PITA. Hired a guy to do the grass, the galley wench won't concede on the flower beds & gardens. Well back to weeding. Yea!

I have a gardener that does almost all of our yard work, she's called a wife.

All that lawn equipment is just a PITA. Can never keep a weedwaker running right for more than a year. Now I have people.

I never had a problem with my weed eaters, it's called Startron, I do my lawn, 3/4 acre, and my moms 1 1/2 acres every week. If you didn't live in that SH#* hole city of ATL you'd have plenty of time..........

I finally gave in a hired a lawn service. A new baby and a busy travel schedule have killed my available time.

Thanks for all your kind words. Yes a condo sounds about right.

Well one 1 9hp edger, edging shovel, and a pitchfork got it done over the past two days.

I found a family of Vermon living under my shed, I think they are voles. Ugh got to get rid of them now as they are burrowing tracks in my lawn. So I mixed up some peanut butter and sevin 5 dropped it into the holes hope they eat it. Always something. Thankfully the wife helped even on mother's day. She pressure washed the patio furniture and last weekend she helped stain the desk.

Due to my back and neck, the Admiral contracted a garden service 10 years ago.

About 3 months ago, due to weeks of rain and being too wet on his due days. I pulled the mower out, had to go and buy a fuel can and fuel and think about how to start it, fuel cut off etc.

After spending so long not working around the home. I am actually enjoying it, have regular debates with my wife about me doing it. I am aiming at 1 day a weekend around the home at present.

My retirement plan though I must admit is a condo.

I have a small yard and I still spend time mowing and trimming. Like Paulie said, it's the only time no one bothers me. Good thing it only takes an hour now instead of all day. More time for the boat now.

I'm too cheap to pay someone to do my yard work so I do it every Thursday after work. (except when Kevin27 comes into town and pulls me away to go to a Rays game ) Then the beers start flowing. I figure the $100+ dollars a month can go towards gas for the boat.

I only do yardwork on weeknights. Not enough summer in Boston to waste a weekend. The 14 yr old is finally becoming handy. he used to think cutting the grass was great not as keen on it now and I have a rider!!! He asked if he could use the edger this year, I guess I got to get him some steel toes. 2 hours or so a night till I am done then just maintenance.

I have not done yard work in five years and I am not ever going to do it again. Enough is enough. I even took an expensive riding mower that I have and I am letting a renter use it. He is 78 and been in the house for 11 years now, so I am not concerned about the mower.
Besides, I'm retired, I don't have time for yard work. :)

Just finished mowing my yard today. Seemed like it was a foot tall since I haven't been able mow it all down in the last couple weeks. Glad its done. Now its back to boating... :)

Started cutting the grass 4.5 hours ago..... I hate cutting grass!
