I don't like yard work!

Perry how can you beat sitting 7 rows up from home plate? Better than yard work!!!!! GO RAYS!!! I also see a condo in my future as an option.

Just your property or are you a wonderful neighbor and do the whole block... Man I don't like cutting my measly 1/2 acre.

Mulch was dropped off today doing that nightly as the wife's graduation party is Saturday.

Just mine, today I get to weed eat after work...and a trip to WM

I got tired of my dogs killing the grass and destroying the shrubs in my small backyard so I just had it replaced with this stuff: www.synlawn.com

Awesome stuff and it looks great. No mowing, no watering, no weeds, no fertilizer. So far the dogs haven't made a dent in it and they love to go lay in the yard now, something they never did before.

It's unrealistic for a very large yard, but for my 600sq' of yard it worked great. Of course, if you don't have pets and still want the fake stuff, they also do putting greens.

Nothing better than the smell of fresh cut grass. I love yard work as long as the temp stays below 90. I hate not having my own yard to mow since wifey screwed me out of the house I bought her. Now I get my yard work fix at my moms farm or my grandmothers house. The DC real estate market blew up and the price I paid for a huge house in Oakton only would buy a crappy little town home in Loudoun after my divorce. I did cut the grass at my old house, 1/2 acre since my lazy ex won't ever cut the grass. It was chest high and took three hours to cut, but my daughter couldn't practice pitching and recently had a tick from the jungle in her yard. I love to get dirty and work up a sweat. I got tired of nasty stares from the neighbors every time I would drop my daughter off. I'm sad my baby lives in the white trash dilapidated home in an otherwise affluent neighborhood of $600,000+ homes.

I hate yard work, the lungs and heart are really telling me time to stop this $hit, trouble is for a 1/2 acre a lawn service wants $110.00 a week to cut and trim. It's really expensive here in Ontario, in Florida I get it done for $32.00 a month. We are looking at down sizing right now a nice place an hour further north right on Georgian Bay across the street from a nice marina 2000sq feet on a 60X80 lot and 106.00 a month for grass cutting with edging, weed and fertilize it, clean the windows twice a year and the rain gutters once a year. I sure hope we swing this, a lot more time for the boat and golf. It would be so nice to just lock the door and head out on the boat and not have to worry about the house.

I might have to recant my Pryor statement of liking yard work....

I decided to take a break from working on the boat and do some extra yard work. While repairing some landscape lights I pulled my back out yesterday. And today while in pain I mowed the lawn and finished up the lighting and thought I was done. We had a medium size broken oak tree branch hanging at the top of an oak above our driveway and its been there since winter. It came crashing down a few hours ago bringing a much larger branch with it. It now blocks half of our circle driveway. A few minutes later another big branch came tumbling down onto the pile.

Now even though my back is out of wack, I got a big job to deal with in the morning. Guess I won't be starting any new projects on the boat for awhile. Glad I got what I started done.

If I was closer I'd come help, we are still cleaning up an old one from Sandy. The top of one of our 300 year olds came out, just the top gave us two cords of white oak

Here you go. Got it all cut up today. Just have to haul it to the curb and call the city for pickup. I did get some wood for winter, but not as much as I would have thought.

An hour and half on Friday doing the front yard and edging the ditch, 3 hours today in the back yard and I am not done. I had to get the chain saw out for a bunch of saplings and 3 trees that came down while we were away. I still have to finish cutting them up tomorrow and then cut the grass under all that mess. Did I mention I hate yard work, a whole weekend shot, I could have spent that time on the boat.

The Admiral, back on my case. Why am I mowing lawns? It only knocks you up, save your energy, let me get the man back in again.

Ah, no wonder I love her
