Apparently, the Navy did share their SOSUS info with the USCG and he made the decision it wasn't corroborated and kept the "rescue mission" going.

News organizations are just plain stupid. Consider the following: "Are you going to bring up the remains of the victims for their families to bury?"

The reality of an implosion at that depth is about 6,000 psi which is explosive. What happens when you stomp on a full Bud Lite beer can. Your foot displaces the liquid and it explodes out of the can. It has been estimated the explosive force inside the capsule was the equivalent of 20 pounds of C4 going off. I can't imagine there is anything left ......at all.

Yet the USCG says.....the search is complex and they are "mapping the area". Dumb and Dumber.
