At our home port I don't go bow or stern in. Cleaning should be easy too.

LOL, I was in Port Stanley for drive last week and noticed there is a Bridgeview Marina there too. Sarnia is still the plan. The picture I posted is from Bridgeview Marina in Sarnia. I guess when there is a bridge near your marina that name becomes natural. We have some friends already at Bridgeview Sarnia and others in Grand Bend so it made the most sense for this summer.I grew up in London...great town. How did you end up in Port Stanley ..... I though you were headed for Sarnia..... most people I know in London and Dorchester moor in Leamington ....closer to places to go in the states
Thanks for the warm welcome. We are very excited to be joining you soon.Josh,
Welcome to Bridgeview, you will like the Guildwood area. Our 460 is just back from you in the 500 slips. Bridgeview Marina has been great for us these past six years and we like the Sarnia location for its small city amenities. Also you can head north in either Ontario or Michigan so easily, or just stay in the St. Clair River and go south. We had eight great years at Algonac Harbour Club prior to this and those two marinas have a lot in common.
See you after launch.
Going in Wednesday, can't wait. Have a great season and safe launch.Looks like another warm up coming this next week. I'm hoping to get myself in the water by next weekend. Still a handful of boats on stands in front of mine, however. Three to be exact...but who's counting
To tide myself over I'm going to go pickup my Walker Bay dinghy today. I might even sit in it in the garage this weekend and have a beer, maybe two.
Same. We use our dinghy nearly every weekend.
I love visiting harbors with floating docks. It's nice to see how the other half lives. Walking from the swim platform onto the dock is a real luxury When I register at DNR owned marinas I usually register (and pay) as a 46' boat so I can get a 50' slip. Bow-in and room to walk off the platform, boating utopia....
Most of marinas here have short finger piers like mine in pic. Can’t bow in if want to. Couldn’t get off boat.Im in as of 8 am yesterday, We like our stern in on our floating dock. That being said i had rented my slip for three years before purchasing it (just paid off) .One day after being in it (today) i get a text from harbor master saying my boat is 1 ft too long i need to bow in. I dont like to bow in,for one i go to bed around 10 pm and i dont want to listen to all the dock noise until midnight or later. I also dont like dancing around a post to get on my boat especially with gear coolers etc. And the woman is not happy about it at all she says we will sell the slip and go elswhere, which i dont want to do. well im in anyway.
They sure waste a lot of space between boats.Whelp I'm in. With my typical luck I launched on Saturday during a gale warning. Fortunately the wind was coming from the south. It's the only ideal wind direction for my slip so I'll take that as a good omen for the rest of the season.
Looking forward to a great 2021!
