No I am not Gay as a matter of fact i have a beautiful 10 month old son, with a gorgeous wife of 6 years. WOuld it be an issue if i was though. Would you round up a crew and run me out of here?

This whole thread went the wrong way. What was wrong in the 1st post was that Sponge Bob was driving the boat. Guess you all missed that.

Coun't me in with John and Wayne. Being gay is a behavior, not a classification of gender, race, or religion. I don't like people that spit on the sidewalk, or stick their used gum under the table. That doesn't make me intolerant. So why does not liking a different form of behavior make me intolerant?

The human race (as well as most other species on this planet) have survived for thousands of years because males and females together can procreate. Make 100% of the population gay and the entire human race (or any other species) will die off in one generation. Clearly, this is a defect.

Any "intolerance" on my part stems from the fact that our society is trying to convey to children that this is acceptable behavior when it is not. Want to be gay? Fine. Be that way behind closed doors where children can't see it. It is not normal behavior. We should be looking for a cure. In the mean time, we should not teach children that it is normal or acceptable. It should be hidden from them completely. If they have the problem, it will eventually come out on its own without any outside influences pushing them in that direction. And for crying out loud, allowing 2 gay men to have a child in the house is nothing but silliness and lunacy.

That being said, I've met Elton twice in my life and he really is a great guy. He has a fantastic sense of humor. I've been to at least 5 of his shows, and I love his music. I still think giving him a child is a mistake.

As for the question about being gay making someone a child molester, there are definitely associations which lead to increased risk. Did you know that if you have no fear of spiders and snakes, you are 4 times more likely to molest a child than if you do fear them?

It goes to the psyche of the human mind. Being willing to fight all societal norms and let everyone know that you prefer to place your private parts in places God never intended instead of the natural places puts you in a category where you have a higher chance of putting them in other non-normal, socially unacceptable places. Exposing a child to such risk is not warranted.

I don't agree with their lifestyle but the only problem I have is Elton John is 61 years old. If they were adopting an older unwanted child I would have less of a problem. But 61 is way to old to be starting a family. But lets face it, these two won't likely be providing the child care.

Not that my views are welcomed here, but they are still allowed at this point. I do not have a problem with same sex relationships. I dont understand the attraction to the same sex, and it is not something that attracts me. However I am reconsied as a Justice of the Peace in 5 Midwest States and it is legal for me to marry couples. Of course same sex marriage is not legal in these or this state, if it were I would have no problems at all officiating a same sex marriage. Actually I do officiate a ceremony called Hand Fasting which is a type of commitment ceremony, a marriage with out a license. I dont discriminate who I will marry or perform a hand-fasting ceremony for. If the couple is happy and in love and good to each other and respects each other that is enough for me to let them say I DO.

As far as a 61 year old raising a newborn, yes it rather old. Yet David is much younger and I am sure the nanny will be younger as well. Again if they love the child and give him all the emotional support and strength and courage he needs to grow up to be a fine adult, same sex, older, it really doesnt matter in my eyes.

I try to tend to deal with issues in my own back yard that affect me, and wish others well.
