Desktop a frikkin mess

So what does your real desktop in your office look like? ;-)

Ok, took a pic, did not touch a thing from yesterday, this is my desktop. I also took some of my office. Keep in mind, we have a conference room for important clients so they dont see the inner workings and my toys and crap.

So this is where I spend most of my day.

So? What about you guys? Post some pics of your work space.

Do I see an old emac in the office? Now THAT is definitely retro. I think they have instructions on the internet to turn those into an actual aquarium, not a virtual aquarium.... . : )

Remember the picture of the desktop that started all this? Well my computer desktop is actually very well organized, but my real desktop makes that original picture look like an obsessive compulsive librarian's file cabinet! My real desk is an absolute train wreck. Between little gadgets I play with, stacked papers, DD cups, and whatever else has found its way here since 2003 and I've taken a liking to. Every now and again it will topple over, thats what I consider cleaning! I think Gary has maybe seen my desk. I don't allow too many people back here, but when i do I make them wear a hardhat and protective glasses just in case!

It is actually the first slot drive iMac, 1999 edition. At home I have the original, first year iMac as well with tray. THAT is a collectors edition...blueberry, fully functional. I somewhat collect mac's. I have almost every one in working condition.

 But you can find anything Im sure. The graphics dept ends up like you described in their office. I go up there and just shake my head.

And to think that I was trying to show you how to do screen shots with your mac.... I should be the one taking the pebble from your hand! : ) Boy do I feel sheepish.

I have an old Macintosh Plus, upgraded to 1mb memory, sitting on top of an external 30mb hard drive (the Plus didn't come with a hard drive). Still works just fine, I keep a few old files on it I couldn't successfully transfer to my old Macintosh Performa 6300CD, which doesn't work anymore....

Nah, dont be silly. There are more macs in history than people realize...so many that even I have no experience with. I was being a bit overzealous saying I have almost every one, I actually only have about 8 out of the vast numbers of models, but I have good benchmark issues such as that original imac, the 2ci, powerbook 100, even the one on my desktop at work is the imac flat panel from 2002 that a lot of people comment on as a unit they would love to own. The funny thing is, my 2002 flat panel you see on my desk is my every day comp, and STILL runs like a champ, obviously filled with lots of crap, and has yet to ever have a problem, even now running os 10.4.11, an operating system that is way beyond what it started with!

Same with that slot drive imac you see on my cradenza, and the ones at home.

They run forever, thus why when people compare windoze to mac, I laugh because personally, here at work alone, we have thrown out almost every pc that is older than a few years because, frankly, they become useless after that time :)

Nice, thats a 20 year old unit! Want to sell it? :smt001

Bill, whats next, pics of your dresser with your tidy-whities and socks?

Not to start a PC/Mac thing. . but my home PC is from 2002 or so as well. Been upgraded a few times. . but has not as the result of equipment failure.

Hahaha! You can't delete it...too late! Mu wa ha ha ha.

All I can say is, even a broken clock is right twice a day :)

Mine is officially cleaned up!
