Why don’t you create folders on your desktop and move the shortcut icons into them. In that way you still keep your shortcuts, but better organized.

Actually I have a solution for you that will take 10 seconds. Create a Folder on your desktop named "Desktop Stuff" and drag all that into the one folder!
That desktop is just crazy.... you should win an award for that one!

So much easier clicking to desktop and then wildly searching for what I need in a panic.
It is actually usually pretty good, it just became such a mess.

I have a wife and two daughters. That is how I keep up with the 3 cycles so I know who is in a bad mood to avoid them. It is a complex formula.
