CSR Rendezvous 2009 – Atlantic City NJ

Collectively we are dropping 12K on slips....seems logical that they need $100 more. Welcome to AC.
Weather forecasts still seem great....

Corona del Mar is good for $5 for tables and will be at the meeting spot at 9:30 on Friday morning. Alex we will look out for you when we leave.

Many thanks to Ron and Dom for all the logistics, I think less planning is required to launch a space shuttle.

A $100 for them to carry 3 tables? $15K isn't enough for a weekend I guess.

So that's a YES from Frank, Dom, Vince, Bob, Rich, Jon, Rod, Ed and me. Depending upon how you read Mike's post, we may have a majority? The guy is supposed to fax me some stupid form to sign my life away that they'll get their tables back, and I'll be giving them my credit card as collateral. So please no one do a Pete Townsend on the tables!

Frank, I'll forfeit. I was planning on YOU running the oscilloscope. And yeah, I suppose if these guys are going to schlep the tables down for us we'll have to grease them as well. I think 35'LOA's wife was right! This is the Atlantic City families' way of getting back at us for the pressure applied by Bobby Bacala. Notice the term "Labor Fee." It's always the unions in ca-hootz with organized crime.

We're good for the $5....but...now I have no allowence for the rest of the week!

Retirement does have a down side.........Not Really!!

That just comes from the whole idea that if you own a boat you are rich and must give away (or have it taken) your money.

I was going to bring a table... I would rather pay $5 and not bring a table...

Yeah, but were you bringing a linen tablecloth, too?

That's why I need a deckhand......preferably someone with NASA experience.....

... and with deep pockets for the Atlantic City Shakedown Artists. Good thing he's workin' next week.

110 pages, 1,091 posts and still another 1 day and 15 hours to go.

I think we covered everything. Well, almost everything. Only thing now left to discuss is the color of the tablecloths, the china pattern, and centerpieces.

The infamous cruise director...
"4 six foot tables and chairs to be at the T" with lines as well....

Ed
The tables are for the spread. Not for dining. This was originally a BYOC (C=Chair) event, but their chairs can supplement the chairs that most boaters carry on board. Oh, and it's 4 tables for the food. Can I change my title to "party planner" or "event coordinator?"

You did get T-shirts made didn't you? Last year at BIH, someone brought t-shirts... charged like $15/shirt or something... For some reason, I got two extra shirts I didn't pay for...

Newsflash Just got a call from Joe in hospitality. They're going to set us up with the tables draped with linens. BUT they want $100 "labor fee." Everyone OK with ponying up an additional $5/boat for the luxury of white linen tables and chairs?

I'm in.

Hi Ron....just having fun with you. Planning on bringing chairs anyway. Did someone make you a hat yet? Cruise Director front, Party Planning Central on back....

Does he have his own safety team?
Remember those guys plan for all contingencies....but they get hurt often.

No question we're fine with extra $5.

Jon, I'm thinking on making a quick early stop (9am or so) at Ocean Gate to get a bit of fuel. If I don't I'll have to stop by BHYC, which I prefer to do on the way back north instead. Does anyone know what prices they have now at OG for gas?
