CSR Northeast Flotilla 2016

I plan on leaving Friday morning as well but unless the seas are dead calm and there's no wind I'll probably stay inside. Going out fi inlet ads 2 hours and 60 gallons of fuel to my trip. I would rather take those 2 hours at 5 mph going through the no wake inside and save 40 gallons. (And not hot a real road tie :smt043) anybody care to take the scenic route with me?

I should be arriving in Shelter Island on Friday (coming from the south shore). I believe there will be at least two other boats arriving with me.Are you planning to get to SI on Friday?
Thats the plan. Leave early if the weather cooperates and shoot out there

If the seas do not cooperate, we will take the scenic route also. Otherwise our plan is to run to from Jones Inlet to Shinnecock Inlet outside.

If we get there first, "we'll leave a light on for ya!"

If the seas are not cooperating I'll run inside as well. Maybe we can stop for lunch by that nice cove in the Hamptons where Joe REPEATEDLY tried to create a new channel requiring his rescue by yours truly! ;)
If seas are good I plan on going out Moriches Inlet & coming back in Shinnecock.

I guess all of us being gas boats, we will all meet up at Jackson's for fuel on the way to SI.

That is very important when the captain doesn't understand how a GPS or depth finder work!

if you haven't been aground ? You haven't been around! You need to leave the slip to experience these things. Oh and traveling 6 mins across to watch hill doesn't count because you can see it from your dock. If rusty made fun of me it would be warranted!!

You guys sure set up some nice get togethers, well planned, and always looks like everyone is enjoying themselves. Is that flat chested Samoan gal in the grass skirt going to be at this one too?

I will be getting there Sat afternoon. My marina is holding a Cardboard Boat Regatta that day, that the kiddos are very excited about. Prizes for teams with cardboard boats that paddle the furthest, stay afloat the longest, and most dramatic sinking. It should be fun. Once that is over, we'll shoot over to SI (we're only an hour cruise away).

Oh Grasshopper,
You seem to forget who was yelling at you over the VHF to dogleg left to the next Bouy! Even my wife was looking at my GPS and asking me if you knew where you were going! Also, who ultimately spared you the call of shame to Seatow? Yeah, THIS GUY! Seems that I've been out of the bay on more than one occasion. Just because you can follow Alex and his float plan doesn't make you King of the sea!! :smt043:smt043:smt043
