CSR Lake Erie Islands 2013 Rendezvous

Thanks for bringing this to my attention Jason. I'm not sure yet if I can attend or not but would love to as I know I'd learn a lot about boating. I would need some help in figuring this out as I'm a total newb plus my boat is tiny compared with everyone else that is attending. Are there hotels and whatnot close by? I assume there are. I'm guessing they would frown upon me pitching a tent on my boat in the middle of the marina.

LoL, I've seen people sleep under beach towels. The marina also has camping as an option. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hello everyone! My wife & I had already reserved at MBI that weekend planning on doing some of the XMas in July activities at PIB, but we would love to meet some new friends at CSR! We're at E14; boat name is Sweet Equity. Any activities planned for Friday eve?

Randy happy to have you with us, are you traveling with other boats or are you solo? If youre solo call MBI AND SEE IF YOU CAN TAKE A csrCSR dock. We still have a few open?

Friday night is primarily a boat hop and social meet and greet. Let me know if iI can help with anything.

Jason, looks like we're already in the CSR "dock group". We're boating with another couple, but they day dock @ PIB & return to West Harbor at night. See you all Friday the 26th!

OK LAST CHANCE!

I LET GO OF 10 RESERVED DOCKS WE HAVE A HANDFUL LEFT UNTIL THURSDAY THEN THATS IT. MBI booked!

I reserved th pavilion for saturday.

If you are thinking coming call monday.

it would be nice to know what everyone is thinking of bringing for the potluck event?

Jason,
The boat is still in the shop but it looks like I will be ready to float by the 26th so I plan on being there. They still can't find a small oil leak which is a little troubling but we will see what they say on Monday. They fixed a collapsed fuel line, got the shore power working, removed the PO inverter which didn't have a spark arrest, (I hold Sea Ray of Indy responsible for this one!) pressure tested the gear lube system and didn't find any leaks, and gave the engine a good going over. I can't wait to see the bill LOL! I replaced a leaking wheel bearing on the trailer so I hope we will be good to go.

In regards to the pot luck, being a single guy who won't eat his own cooking, can I bring a box of good plastic silverware, paper plates, and solo cups? If you need something specific and prefer that I pick something up at the grocery store I can do that also.

Let me know what works for the group.

Jim, LoL that would be fantastic.

I plan on bringing a dip a desert and some type of main dish. Havent figured out exactly what yet.

Jason or Casey

Do we have a ballpark total for number of adults/kids? We will bring brats/hotdogs, buns, macaroni salad and chips. Does anyone know if they have grills there or should I bring one?

We were at PIB this weekend and it was the busiest I have seen it in recent several years. I expect MBI will get a lot of overflow the next two weekends as they are stretching Christmas in July over both weekends.

Thanks
Bill

Bill I know they have charcoal grills there. I'll have to see if Casey has a head count?

Jason,

We are reserved for the 27th. Will be April, Knox and myself.

For the potluck we will bring burgers and brats for grilling and Greek salad. Will also bring some charcoal and lighter fluid. Looking forward seeing/meeting everyone.

good seeing you last weekend. Still waiting for that video to pop up.

Alex,

I'll get the pics posted promise.

Last day to register tomorrow the docks will be open to all.

I'm guessing from reading through and the list on the 1st page we are close to 40-50ppl to be a safe number. Kids and adults included.

Brought the boat home from the shop today :smt038 Nothing that $998.00 couldn't fix. I will be coming over on Friday and wondered if there are others who will be trailering your boat? Which ramp you will use and about what time you plan on being there. I was thinking about using the ramp right beside Marine Max. West...???. I am solo so it would be nice to hook up with someone to head out with. I haven't been on the lake in years. I have charts and GPS and can get to middle bass but it is always nice to cruise with someone who knows where the problems are.

Good deal Jim. I am leaving out wed or Thursday so maybe someone else will chime in. The west ramp really is the best option IMHO.
