CSR has become almost unusable for me

Go to the BOE site and look up Axiom chart plotters. The try to get more info hitting the various links... Nothing, nada.. just moves you down the page to "other items from this manufacturer".

Hi Steve, I am intrigued by this. We spend so much money to have features on our site, information, videos, tutorials, etc. A lot of that is to make sure products are easy to find. If I go to our site and search Axiom, I am presented a list of all Axiom models. Then you can simple scroll through them, or use filters on the left to narrow it down by price or screen size, or sort by price or popularity. You can click on any of those products to bring up a page that has full product details.

1. Couple of questions, how can we make things easier to find.
2. Does your user experience on the site behave differently than i described?

Yes, experienced this when trying to get an AP upgrade. I am sure Jim will sort that out because if he doesn't he'll be loosing a lot of sales.

The whole "are you human" check should only apply to check out and not when you click on products. Then try hitting the back button and you get put back in the human thing and can't get out. Sometimes it only happens on the back button. But either way unusable.

Hi Skybolt, same question to you as Steve. What are you experiencing differently than me? I can search "Autopilot" to bring them upm then use filters to get to just a few products. I can use the menu tree to click autopilots then use the filters. Or just search keywords like Smartpump if I am trying to find a Garmin pilot. All take me right to what I am looking for.

What is the "are you human" thing you are talking about? Our site does not have anything like that. But I have seen what I think you are talking about from time to time all over the net. Usually when a site has a DDOS attack which our site would not be immune to.

Jim,

Finding the Axioms is not the issue. If I choose a model, for example https://www.boemarine.com/raymarine-axiom-7-7-multifunction-display-mfd-only.html, I get to the page. But when I scroll down to the line "Details - Installation Partners - More Information - Products from the same brand and select Details, all I get is the "Products from same brand". You cannot see any details of the unit. That is the issue.

Also the constant "Check to see if I am Human" is annoying. I can understand checking once and then drop a session cookie but constant checks whenever you change something is bad.

Once his advertisers find out they are throwing their money away by advertising on a site that is unreachable half the time and they turn off the money faucet maybe he will do something.
Yes we are one if those. I also have extensive experience in managing hosting and server management (which is what my IT company specializes in).

I understand issues but this should not be that difficult to track down. First need to identify if this is on server, network based or provider issue. There are lots that can effect this but based on my initial page load times i would bet its something on server but we could be up against multiple issues.

Guys, I was just made aware of this thread and issue. I have had members contact me individually that needed some help with things, but did not know about this issue collectively. The other day I enlisted a company to look into why the site slows down every so often. I have only personally experienced it twice since the refresh, and it clears up after a few minutes so we have not been able to find a cause. Hopefully the new company can look into it and figure it out.

Jim:

If they do not turn up anything you can reach out to me.

Thanks Kevin, will do. I saw lots of emails go back and forth Friday between the server co and programmer

Hi Steve, thank you for that. When I click the link you provided I scroll right down and see the details. So I am not sure where the disconnect is. The human check has me puzzled. Have never seen that on our site

This is what comes up for me. No human/e-verify thing. I verified my system has BOE cookies installed.
It seems the site comes up faster (at least this morning) than it ever has.
Thanks for no popup banners! Those things are annoying and on other sites I'm shopping drives me away.

Hi Jim,

As I wrote my response, it wasn’t working but right afterwards the links started working correctly. I will let you know if I see that behavior again.

The repeated “Are you human” verification check box has disappeared also.

Seems it is back to normal.

As for making things better, if available - pictures of the back of things showing connections would be nice. That was actually what I was looking for originally when I found the details link wasn’t working.

CSR Site was working great this morning until straight up 7 central time, then it started acting up, thinking for a while on every click whether on a thread, or trying to like a post.

@CSR_Admin Jim, it's not the search that is bad, before your upgrade, the old site was fantastic in finding things. One of the reason's I re-outfitted my boat through you. Very easy to find what I was looking for with good prices and shipping. I doubt that has changed any except your site is very slow now, not quite as bad as CSR but slow.

Just before this post it took ~20sec to load your main page. Clicking on anything, in this case the plotter category along the category ribbon, produces this:

This happens on everything I click on and also pressing the back button. This happens multiple times all while trying to view product. Then at times while hitting the back button I get it as well. Can't say if it pervasive or not because I give up after it shows up a couple of times. Hitting refresh cures the bottom screen, but still get it a lot. All the while by just clicking on product.

Tom that is the issue right there, the initial screen comes up quickly but the rest of the screen takes a long time to load. Your missing the specials section in all that white. This took, ~15 sec to come up:

Jim,

The site has become extremely slow for me. Additionally, my boat picture is gone from my signature..no big deal there, but I hate waiting for the spinning circle...

couldn't get on this morning. fine now

Hi Carter,

Not sure why it isn't on your signature but it is in your profile...

It probably needs to be resized (again) to be displayed.

Fixed the pop up adds now takes 20 to 30 minutes whenever to log into then 5 minutes to go anywhere on the site. Don't know how much longer I'm staying here but I'll never pay again for a membership!

I tried not to complain but it’s really really really bad. Was doing some maintenance over the weekend and needed to verify something from the site and couldn’t get in at all. Never seen any upgrade go so wrong for so long.

Been hit or Miss for me today. Sometimes cant get to site at all. Sometimes works fine. No rhyme or reason
