Cool pics of yourself

Do cool pics of the dog count? This one is self explanatory  Our mailman was fired about a month later, the new mailman told us he was breaking too many rules

Off roading in Aruba. I was doing a boat delivery there and got stuck for a few days due to weather. Who would have guessed the trails would be so freakin cool and abundant. Guess what? They rented Jeeps too! The most air I ever got in a Jeep was off a sand dune that week

Is that up by the Lighthouse? We spent a day wandering around that beach a couple of years ago. I've never been to the windward side, except, one time we drove to the South East end to kitesurf the bay near the prison when what's-his-name was there and in the spotlight. I worked my way out into the deep blue through the 15' rolling surf. Turns out, I learned later, that that's where the fish for huge hammerheads - by trolling large bait on the surface : 0

We normally stay here on the NW side. Awold took the first beach house on the right, divided it up into apartments, added a pool out front (not the one in the pic, but under the trees out front), put kitchens outside on the beach side, then built little theme cabanas in the back yard. Grab a beer from the fridge, then pay him a buck when you think about it. He built a beautiful, open, high ceiling area near the back, North side of the house last time we were there. The big pool belongs to the place next door on the other side of a high wall. The way the cabanas are backed up against the wall, you can't even tell that anything is there. $60 - $100 / night. Beats the living heck out of the super resort crap. We walk down the beach and use the resort pools and bars when we feel like being over crowded.

Since everyone is in the process of winterizing their boats. Here is a shot I took of one of my best beaches to visit...the place is the Soggy Dollar Bar on White Bay Beach, Jost Van Dyke in the BVI's. Home of the "Original" Painkiller drink.

Now all we have to do is figure out how to get our Sea Rays there for a raft up.

The Mrs and I at BVI a few years back near Mesquito Island, where there is an abandoned resort...kind of cool.

If you mean me, F-15 then, and now. I think I'm the oldest F-15 Instructor Pilot in the history of the world. I got real lucky when I was separating from the military with 15 years of service. They opened a Guard Unit at my home base teaching F-15 pilots how to fly and fight in the jet. I've been doing that for the last 9 years. When I got in, I was 2 -3 years older than my peers. Simple math: 24.5 + 14.5 + 9 = almost 40 : )

I flew F-15's part time for 6 years in the middle while I flew for the airlines. Now, I'm back full time in the military earning an active duty retirement.

I thought those engine nacelles were a little too far forward for a Tomcat but I say you were in Panama City so I assumed Navy, and I knew it was an 18. Sorry

Not at all. You may be thinking Pensacola, the huge Navy flying facility 100 miles West of us. They are West of Fort Walton Beach and Destin, We are East of those. We do have a Naval Base in town, but it only has a few helicopters and a bunch of surface operations (boats/small ships).

Tyndall AFB is just East of Panama City and has 3 USAF Fighters Squadrons including 2 F-15 sq's and 1 F-22 sq. We also have the Weapons Employment Group where all fighter units from around the world visit to shoot live air-to-air weapons at F-4 and sub-scale drones.

You got me looking at my photo albums now!

Great! That was the idea. I think we all forget to look back and see the "cool" things we get to do, and the fun we have doing them, or just striking that pose caught in time.

I like pictures. Snapshots into time never revisited.

BTW, good additions! Yours and everyone's thus far!

John "Halde" Hampton.

Ok, Halde, explain that one

Great photo.
