My bud emailed this to me this morning, thought it was a "cool picture". I am the one in white ready to pass the puck (and subsequently get an assist on the play :smt038)

What pics of YOU do you want to share? Can be anything (ie doesnt have to involve boats)

This is me jumping waves in the ocean just south the of Barneget Inlet. Quality isnt the greatest, but I think the shot is pretty cool..

Bill, Love the Sherwood (old school stick)! I played alot of hockey (major midgets, Juniors, etc) and coached alot - still play, try finding a new composite stick that has the "feel" of a wood blade. Payed $200 for a Synergy a few years back and sold it the first week to a buddy- Don't see alot of ALL WOOD sticks around the rink- they "young guys" give me a hard time when I bring my PMP to the rink as my backup stick.

AWESOME pic! How long ago was this?

bill, in that first pic isn't that guy hooking you or don't they use that rule anymore
(sorry haven't been keeping up on hocky for a while)/

No refs...this is a club team...24 guys that get together every Thursday night for the past 5+ years. Most are ex college or some juniors, then a scattering of friends that are average. We have a BLAST. The best of us beat the CRAP out of each other...literally full checking.

So we <ahem> dont follow the rules to a tee. Hooking is fine as long as it is short and sweet. If it is a long hold, then we all "booooo". Thats about the extent of the penalty!

Cant do the composite...tried it. Great for shooting, but for passing/receiving and to a lesser degree stickhandling, there is no "feel" to the composite. I notice more and more bounces off the stick when I watch people play with them compared to the wood.

There was a story a short while back on NHL.com about players going back to wood. I just think the wood lends itself to feel more so than composite. I think you will see a resurgence of wood in time.

Lets see some pics! Got any from the ice?
