Burgees, Burgess, Burgees!

I would like one but not paying 50 bucks! How many do we have so far?

New burgees are $50, I am going with a different supplier than the one I had in mind when starting this thread. We should see something in a couple of weeks. Anybody who has placed an order prior to now - all those orders will be filled, so no need to email me to make sure your order is still in place.

Also, I am not going to offer the printed version at this time, only the sewn version is available - this is an exact clone of the first batch we sent out, very high quality.

So we still shooting for $50 each or did we get enough people ordering to bring down the price?

There is no bringing down the price on this batch. I tried to price shop last time and got into the pickle I am in now. This new company is more expensive, but they plan to deliver on time. Due to the circumstances of the last order they said they are not even going to ask for payment until they are in my hands. So I am confident they'll be here on time. I am going to lose money on a bunch of them, the early orders, but hopefully the yo-yo in CA that promised the last batch will get his here at some point to make up for the losses. The company I planned to use when starting this thread raised their p[rice once they received the sample the guy in CA made. That is when I decided to ditch them and keep looking.

You all sitting down?..... A box of burgees just showed up from the new company! All backorders will be shipped out over the next few days. I am going to play the lottery today... maybe I'm on a run.

I forgot to ask you Jim when I called if they look as good or better then the original ones? Also forgot to ask if you had my correct Amex Number on my order. Don't ask me what I was thinking when I called was totally out of it. Anyways look forward to seeing the new one.

They certainly look as nice as the old ones, possibly even nicer. The company made an exact duplicate of the previous ones, but on the previous ones it looked like the logos were cut out by hand, on the new ones the edges are more consistent, it looks like they were cut out by a machine. They are virtually identical though.

Ummm, maybe I'm losing my mind but didn't I call you and say I only needed one. I got two tracking numbers for you does that mean I'm in for $80+ dollars in burgees on top of the original one I had?

Oh well guess I'll have backup's for my backup.

You are only in for one. We created 2 labels for you though and then found you had ordered twice.

They did turn out great. Hey, if you happen to run across anybody else looking for one please send them my way :smt101, got about 60 more here to get rid of now! This last company had a pretty high min order :smt089.

I heard you got a free one with every order for a chartplotter. :D

I just received mine yesterday from San Diego. Had my order in for quite awhile. It's great! Workmanship is great! It's worth the $30 plus $6 shipping. Will try to post photos later.

Got mine as well Jim.. I've been comparing the original and this new one and here are my findings but they look almost identical.

1. Gromits are different
2. Yellow and Gray are slightly different
3. As you pointed out the new one the letters look like they were cut out better.
4. Stitching is pretty different between the two mostly just the Yellow part. The original one looks like the stitching on the original one for the yellow part might actually be better. but what do I know about stitching this kind of thing. Seems the original has more stitches then the new one.

Overall though looks great!
