Hello everybody, anybody that has been around here for more than a year is probably well aware of our Burgee troubles. In a nutshell we have a guy in CA that makes very high quality burgees for us that are only $30 or so, but it is next to impossible to get him to actually delivery many. In fact, months ago I paid for a bunch more that still haven't showed up. I am ready to throw in the towel on him.

I have been doing research to find a local company (who's door I can pound on if they don't show up) to make burgees for us. I have found a company with great references who is willing to make burgees for us. They can actually make 2 types. One will be a printed version that will be about $25 and the other is a fully sewn version similar to what we had before for $50.

Assuming there are no issues from the populous with this increased pricing I am going to go ahead and order a hundred or so of each. I currently have a few orders in the system that I will honor the pricing on, so if you have an order already in it will ship from this new vendor.

OK

you give up too easy.

Are the new ones going to be the same color?

It's time to go break that guys legs. As long as they look as good as the ones we got (obviously no printed one for me) I'm fine with whatever.

Make sure you get you get your money back from that doofus.

Time to send him the bunny with a pancake on it's head.

New Burgee Design!

Bunny with Pancake on its Head....

I just want a damn burgee... my bow is bare without one and no other yacht club or other organization will have me!!!

Jim,
I am in for the sewn version and will pay you the uplift over the previous cost.
Sorry we did not get to chat at BIH- and thanks again for that event

I just spoke to Matt. He said that he's a one man show right now:
"His seamstress has been taking care of a sick family member"
Anyway I spoke to him, because I was going to use them to make a local
"Pilchuck Yacht Club" burgee.

anyways he says he'll have the first 25 out in 3 weeks and the 2nd 25 out in 5 Weeks.
He also said if Jim is thinking of ordering them in qty's of 25, he'd stock them in groups of 25 so the delays aren't long.

I'm not trying to goof anything you have going but I voiced my concerns with him, knowing you guys have have really long lead times.

Todd,
From my foxhole, I am done with this guy (not Jim-I am done with the Burgee contractor). I wanted a CSR burgee several months ago. As it was, I ended up flying a very frayed, albeit classic "SRO" burgee (Shout out to Jeremy) at BIH because Mr. CSR Burgee supplier could not "git 'er done"

If I responded to my customers this way I'd be out of a job, my company would go find somebody who puts the customer first, and one pristine 03 420DA with a dry, clean bilge (and a working freezer, though it is not a Sub Zero) would be on the market rather quickly.

regards
Skip

I completely understand, just reporting what he said.

As someone who has a burgee on order, I hate to pay more to have the non-printed one but I will do whatever is needed to cover my bare burgee pole before the summer is over.

The better one for me please Jim.

Can I get a square, red one so noone comes up and bothers me at the beach? (joke). Do you have a pic?

I just ordered a bunch from the new vendor. They promise them to be done in 3 weeks and are not going to charge us until they are complete. If anybody has the rocks to order one here is the link:

Just placed my order. Now come on guys 49 more people so we can get them for $25 each what are you waiting for you know you want to be elite like the rest of us that have the original ones.

Hmm I wonder if the original ones will now go up in value since you can't get them
