Wesley,
Being there in person will in no way reduce the amount of abuse you will be subject to!
It will, however, all be in good fun (maybe). Hope you can make it. Now it seems you have a choice of two boats to stay on !! How lucky can a moderator get??

WOW!!!! you guys got this going already! Great...I'm in...hopefully this time we get a better showing from Jersey....

I'm open to any marina also...no preference either way....as long as there are dock hands to take my lines...

Being closer to Little Italy is a plus...canoli night on Monday's....Mmmmm Mmmmm

Is the date official?

Arrive June 21st (Sat).. Leave June 23rd (Mon)...

Goat milking contest is on Sunday. Wes will bring the goat.

OK with everyone?

We would like to make it to this get together next year. Unfortunately, this year we had a wedding that I was told was “mandatory”, so we couldn’t make it. I know, it was very rude of our friends to schedule their daughter’s special day during boating season.

Just checked the very long range forcast and the 3rd weekend of June 2008 it looks like mostly sunny skies, temps in lower 80’s, with NW winds at 5-10.

The dink races sounds great, but we could get more of the group to enter if we made this a dinghy poker run around the BIH – perhaps with stops at Fells Point, the Aquarium and the Science Center. I won’t win any prizes with my 2hp Honda, but if cold beer is involved, then I’m there.

One question, my charts don’t show where the Chesapeake River ends and the Chesapeake Bay begins. My best guess is somewhere around Fairlee Creek or Still Pond, but don’t know for sure – just curious.

What night is the oyster snorting....?

I'll be a spectator on the side.... with a choice Churchill cigar and a temperate glass of Port Wine....in the smoking section of course...

Anyone know how many transient slips available at the marina?

Yeah.. I know my family would like to do a deeper dive into Baltimore and check out the Railroad museum and maybe a ball game... And I'm sure something will vibrate off my engines on the way there.

I will call the marina tomorrow and see. It is mostly a transient marina so at this point slips should be no problem at all. The big question will be whether we can reserve the party deck and its tables and chairs. Also, if we can do that, we would want to reserve all of the slips that surround the deck. I know this seems early, but this will be a popular weekend and I want to try to get the deck!

I love the idea of a poker run on the dinghies... and the harbor is a 6 MPH zone so all can partake.

Stay tuned for updates...

Yours truly,

Julie McCoy,
Cruise Director

I have to make sure I get there early this year to video tape everyone's docking skills... ha ha ha ha

Julie  ,

We are in... perhaps I will have made my dinghy decision by then.

Ryan

Here's the current list from what I can gather:

Me on a 44DB. I will probably have two or three other boats with me as well.
Ryan on a 52DB
Gary on a 480DB
Frank (Impulse III) on a 410DA
Dom (osd9) on a 410DA
Jim (jrirvine) on a 300DA
Larry (rivergalsman) on a 44DB
Skip on a 420DA

Wesley at the Marriott across the street by way of BWI airport.

Better hurry to sign up, there are only seven and a half months to go!

A suggestion from last year....post the list in the first post of this thread. It will be easier to keep track and update as time goes on.

Glad to see you let at least one small boater along, even if you did not let him bring his boat.:smt043:lol:

Good call Dom (I hadn't thought of that because I use the feature that sorts posts from last to first). Will do.
