tphinney said:may be crash the party in style an come in via boat. it's actually shorter distance for me to go via boat than it is to drive.
But first i'd have to fill the tank up tomorrow.

Now your just showing off
I'm curious to know the water in front on the sewage plant right there in front of the Bayside it looks really shallow there to get into the area where MM demo's boats.
Is there any trick to navigating that?
Now you got me wondering where you live at too I have a couple of ideas but I could be completly off.

1 Dock? They have lots of docks unless they are full of boats.

Larry&Leisa said:I took Stihl's advice and got a Keel Guard when we first got our 240. We idle towards shore, coast onto it and then if I need to, I just tie off with one of those 'doggy' twist stakes to hold her in place. After almost 2 season's there has been no problems to the gel coat. I will say tho that we made sure we checked out locations when the water was low or asked about spots.
On a side note... the wife did get stuck this weekend... on a picnic table....
The water is so high we were looking for SOMEwhere to stop and relax. Found one of the state park locations and as we were about to depart she discovered she had drifted onto the table. (of course this was on our waverunners) amazing...that's all I can say about how high the water is now...still....
keel guards do the job but are fugly.

You don't know what you are talking about. :smt021
I have a neutral color that is almost invisible at a distance.

youre not chicken; you just respect your boat more...
I would only beach a dingy....heck I didn't beach my seadoo when i owned it and I had it for 12yrs and the bottom was spotless. so Why would I beach a boat.
Now wait a minute......... To say I don't respect my boat because I beach it??????? :smt017 Have you all ever seen how well a keel guard works?? I have hardly a mark on the bottom ..... certainly no worse than the bumps and nicks I've had on slips etc on the sides and I'm certainly not compromising the integrity of the hull. Granted there are circumstances when and where it is not wise to beach. But dang... I'm not gonna worry about something a gel guy can fix for a few $$ if it gets to the point it bothers me the way it looks....
