A Dog. You say you have one? Lets see...

Has anyone seen my cat? Just kidding. We don't have a cat. Neither will any of our neighbors soon with these guys in the forest behind the house. Our two dogs have been going a bit ape-$h1t lately every once in a while. Not good. The dogs are about 45 and 50lbs but they want to play, and those coyotes want dinner.

Now wait just a damn minute here!... What does a NY Boater know about "Eddie VanHamster"

Please don't tell me there was more than one.
Well, Van Halen is one of our favorite bands. My wife and I saw them multiple times, Dreams is one of her fav songs, and we had it played at our wedding.

Eddie is our third hamster. My wife didn’t grew up with pets, and when the first two died she was DEVASTATED. Last one died from pneumonia just before Christmas - Dudley was really her pet more that the kids’. So even before we thought about getting another my wife declared the next one would be Eddie Van Hamster. It’s a perfect name, really. One of my employees gave him the mini guitar.

I don’t know if we’ll really get him on the boat, be she’s pushing for it.

I mean, how could you not like a little guy that just wants to chill

like this?

When I was in my teens and early 20s we had a German Shepard named Samantha. We picked her because she was the runt of the litter. She turned into a 140# monster. When she would get away from us, coyotes would die. She disappeared quite a few. When I would come home from a night out to an empty house, I never had any fear of an intruder. My fear was that some poor bastard would break into the house, and I would come home to find a bloody dead body on the white tile in our front hall. She was insanely protective of the family always going on patrol around the house when everyone was sleeping to make sure everything was as it should be. She also was not shy about communicating which dates/girlfriends were acceptable to her. She was quite a dog.
