A Dog. You say you have one? Lets see...

Beautiful Golden. My last dog was a golden and he looked just like her. He died a week before we found out my oldest son's asthma trigger was dog dander. I took his death particularly hard and have not been able to consider another dog.
I have a relative that’s also allergic to dog dander. They found she’s fine with a Maltese yorkie. No where near a big as a golden but the one the have has been a great dog.

Yep, the tree rats around here sit on a branch just out of reach and torment the dogs.
Porkchop and pepper would not appreciate you calling them tree rats! Yes, she has names for them all. o_O Pretty sure im funding about 30 bucks a month in unsalted roasted peanuts. They have a water bowl on the front porch too

It's a love/hate relationship between me and the squirrels. They are cute little things, but when they eat all of the bird feed, chew the TV/internet cable at the pole, and dig up my yard with their nuts, grrrrr.

Sailor, a wonderful lab mix, adopted us 3 years ago and has become my therapy dog. Funny thing, for a Lab, he must be the only one that doesn't swim, watches the ducks and geese feed in our back yard, doesn't retrieve, but he's a great dog. Probably the best dog I've ever owned.

Every night we walk up to get the mail. I have a lighted collar for him so I can always tell where he is and so cars can see him. Here's a picure I took of him on our walk last night. Good lookin' dog, isn't he! :D

I know all about retrievers that don't like water. My wife's family has a farm an hour into the country that has a 10 acre lake. We took our golden, Buddy, out there to run with the labs that some of the family had as hunting dogs. Buddy ran with them and had the time of his life. Then someone decided to have the dogs chase a tennis ball into the lake. Buddy and the two labs raced to get the ball. At the last second, Buddy realized that he was about to run into water. He put on all 4 brakes hard and stopped short of the lake while the 2 labs went charging in. Buddy looked back at me sheepishly, turned around and came and sat right next to me. No swimming for him. Funny thing is we had his AKC papers and every dog in his lineage was a working dog. He just didn't get that gene. But he was a great dog.

Bowgie. This picture was his last day. He got to go to the beach, he went for a ride on his boat, and he had one last ride in his truck.

I think he knew what was going on. He had a pretty rapid decline from cancer resulting in an internal bleed.

damn allergies...

That is terrible, I dread the day we loose Rush, my wife may not live through it.

All these pics of dogs is making me want to get another one. It's been about 10 years, just not sure I am ready for the daily responsibility.

I started watching my neighbors dog for her when she had to go back to the office. I check on him at lunch, take him outside to pee/run around and such. He is a senior, I call him grandpa, but darn I am becoming attached to him. I buy him baby carrots for treats, and yeah, he knows it now.

While drooling at pics of the boat I am buying I clicked on the brokers "other boats" link and saw a beautiful 50' Viking for sale. While clicking thru the pics I saw this one. I wonder if he/she comes with the boat?
