Not my best work. But it solved the problem. Lol

Thanks @Aml327

"I've tried bungy cords crossed over the pads to keep them down with some success, but not a great solution."
But agree, it is a solution.

Do you guys run with your bow pads on your bow?

When I bought the boat, I had @KevinC redo my bow pads using the original foam and hardware.
My issue is, when I run with them on the bow, the wind gets in underneath the low part of the pad and pops them up enough to be not just a nuisance but an impediment to my visibility. I've tried bungy cords crossed over the pads to keep them down with some success, but not a great solution.
At this point, I have resorted to keeping them below while running and drag them up once we are docked.

Anyone have a better solution?
(I'd prefer to NOT put snaps on the bow to secure a cover)

Thanks!
Shaps

Two questions.....Does anyone have a link to a galley faucet replacement that they were happy with?
Does anyone know the thickness of the transom door off hand as I need to order a new latch from flounder pounder and I'm not down at the boat.

I finally was able to get a tint company to take on this project. Our front windows measure 61" top to bottom. Tint rolls only go to 60". Instead of using a residential or commercial tint roll (they are larger) that would not look right we put a small splice down by the dash. You can barely see it if you are on the bow.

Global window film Ceramic 20% side windows
Global window film 40% front windows

I went with the Global brand of Ceramic because it gave off a black hue. Other brands appear brownish or purple imo.

The Ceramic is a game changer for the heat in the cockpit. I can actually feel the air conditioner now.

Looks great, if I venture out of the Great Lakes I'm going to get it done. If you don't mind, about how many boat units did it cost?

Thank you both and it was $2500. Ceramic is a lot more expensive than regular automotive dyed film.
It took 2 tinters from 7:30am to 6:00pm to do it with no breaks.
I figured the material cost around $1000 and the rest was for labor.

Are you concerned about running at night or in lower light conditions?
It's probably the one thing that keeps me from tinting my windows.

I did a bunch of research and if you look at the models built after ours they are tinted. i.e. the 510 and 540's with full glass. Also, Sunseeker and Azimut have all of their windows tinted and they still drive at night.

I was on a 2010 50'(same as our boat but with pods) that had 5% tint on the sides and nothing on the front. I ended up driving it during the day and I felt like I had tunnel vision. At night, you could not see out the sides at all and the front had the reflection from the lights.

That is why i went with 20% on the sides and 40% of the windshield. You do not notice a difference in vision during the day. At night it is a little more noticeable. But actually cuts down on the glare from the instruments making it easier to drive.

It looks really dark from certain angles in the pics but you can see right into cockpit. It looks classy imo. Worst case, if it is too dark they can put a Flir system on or just buy the $1200 handheld and mount it to your bow. They bluetooth to your phone and you can see everything.

Looks Great!!!
I tinted my 2 side windows and suroofs with 30% ceramic film las year, I didn't want to go darker because we navigate at night often.. it looks amazing and it helps to keep the temperature down in the cockpit, it's a must do!!!

While coming home today in the ocean I lost one of my starboard windows. It’s Sea Ray part number 1799256. Does anyone know where I can source one of these?
