I shipped from Fla to NJ and had it shrink wrapped by guys who shrinkwrap heavy machinery. For me, it was worth it. You spend all this time finding a beautiful boat and then leave it to the road elements. That didn't make sense to me.
A lot of shippers will tell you not to shrink wrap as they don't want to be responsible if the shrinkwrap was to tear.
Remember, your boat will be shipped stern forward, with the cockpit exposed... all kinds of fun stuff will get in there. For me, it was a no brainer.
I'll dig up a pic and attach it. The quality of the wrap and the job will make the difference in the shrinkwrap lasting over a long haul.

Beautiful boat on a truck! I'm a 450DA driver who is transitioning into a 510DA driver in the next week. Problem is, I need to transport the new boat from Michigan to Stockton CA and I am new to this....I really would love to get recommendations as to who you used and what to expect to pay. I would have PM'd those of you who talked about your transportation experiences but Im not quite sure how to do that on this forum, my apologies in advance.
Any help is greatly appreciated (and needed). I need to put the boat on a truck within 2 weeks...
