Water leaking over the ice tray. I had that and by turning the screw to put a little less water in the tray, it stopped leaking.

Thanks, I adjusted that last night...we shall see what happens when I get back today.

I had the entire assembly out of the box for cleaning etc. I left water in it overnight just in case there was a small crack in it somewhere, but no water leaked out. I re-installed it and started by lowering the water volume to it's lowest...it made really small cubes. As I dialed it up a little bit at a time, I was still getting a few drips from somewhere, so I am a little baffled as to where/how the water is spilling over and dripping out. More investigation is underway. :)

Hello-we just took our first boat ride on our new to us 99 450DA Sundancer. Found it in Holland MI and had it moved to TN where we live. Anyone have a recommendation on a coffee maker to add-it appears ours disappeared at some point along the way.... Thanks all-looking forward to learning the boat inside out and learning from the members here!

Not sure what that year had for a coffee maker, but I have a complete unit from an 01

Thanks for the note back. I was hoping for a recommendation on a replacement that runs on DC power.....
I had a DC powered coffee maker - I hated it. It took forever to brew and probably because the water didn’t get very hot, the coffee was not awful. Perhaps technology has changed, but I’d stick with running the genny.

For those that leave your boat in the water during winter, what do you use (if anything) to keep the cockpit above freezing?

Hi

I mounted the TV beside the Head door by screwing a VESA Bracket to the wall, removing the trims that run around the cabin fro m the other side, and putting the power, HDMI and aerial cable in under the trim, and then refitting it.

Small covered piece running from the trim down to the back of the TV.

About 4 hours work.View attachment 86970

What was the wall material? What length screws did you use?

My buddy bought "The Frame" TV from Samsung and I installed it in that place. It appeared to be 3/4 plywwood behind the foam and vinyl. I used 1/2 SS screws and it worked perfect. That TV is so light and sits fits flush to the wall it looks great. Ran the main cable back through the sofit to the cabinet where he has the Blueray player and power.

Thank you! appreciate the response!

On my '02 boat there is a mix of mainly chrome with some gold (or brass). I did as Wolf suggested for the overhead lamps and polished off the brass. Worked quite well and now they are chrome. Our switch plates and cabinet knobs were chrome anyways with a touch of gold accent on the plumbing taps. The little gold band around the cabin remains. I was going to live with that but now that a solution has emerged, maybe I'll try that. But I'll let Wolf do it first....

What was your process for polishing off the brass to chrome?

All my knobs rosettes are done now will be working on lighting.

FYI, if polishing doesn't work, I lightly sanded them and painted with primer and a paint color that I matched to the interior. Did it 3 years ago and it still looks perfect!

Question on cabin down lighting:

Are all the main 4" lights and all the 2" take the same G4 bulb? Also who has upgrade to get the brightest LED bulb and what one did you order? Looking for good clean light to take some of the cave effect out of the cabin.

I know this has been covered in many post. When I do a search it pulls up many opinions.

I ordered these from Superbrightleds.com and am very pleased with them:G4B-WWHP21-DAC: Warm White
As I recall, the leads are too long and you have to clip them down to properly fit and be centered in the fixture - very easy to do.

i got these and am very happy, no cave like feel. They fit my lights fine, but YMMV.
