410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

Thanks, Carter. Looks like a King size it is! With the 4" thickness, do you have any issues opening the port side wardrobe in the MSR?

We're new to the boat and have only spent a couple of nights on her. I think I may have to just push down slightly on the corner of the topper to open it. I'll check it for you this weekend...

Oh, and what's left over after the trimming makes great winter "vent stuffers"!!

We have the Froli Sleep System under the mattress to act as a box spring and a 3" gel/memory foam topper and can open the port side closet just fine. We spend an average of probably 6 to 8 nights a month sleeping on the boat so we want some comfort. The original mattresses are soooo uncomfortable! We also don't bother with the mid berth as a couch. We keep it laid out as a bed all of the time so we aren't scrambling when guests stay over. I am contemplating making it a bit better to sleep on by extending it forward a bit. We already had a friend make an insert for between the bulkhead and the cushion. There is a 2" memory foam pad there for now that needs to be upgraded.

I used 3" memory foam works great and comfy

Our previous 410 (2000) had a filler cushion from the factory to put between the bulkhead and the folded down back rest cushion. Do you not have this or did I misinterpret your comment above?

Bryan,

With our 4" topper, the port side wardrobe opens about 45* - to open it further, I have to press down on the 4" topper.

Thanks, Carter. I can definitely work with that. Looks like the search for a topper begins today!

Ours is not factory. A friend made it for us and even found some Ultraleather to match! PlumbHappy on CSR is the culprit...

Just wanted to throw out there that my 2001 410 EC is listed on this site for sale. I would really appreciate if you could keep me in mind if any friends or fellow boaters are looking for
a nice one, I'm ready for the next move. Not that I have any idea what boat I want next but ready to be in the drivers seat for my next Sea Ray purchase.

I ended up with a 5" feather bed topper. Slept like a baby!

Does anyone know how to tighten up the captains chair at the tube to base connection. I have a slite wobble. There is 4allen screws at the base, but they are already tight. So if anyone has a fix or a good idea,I am all ears.

When I purchased my boat last year, the owner had replaced the original Norcold (insert joke here) with another Norcold referigerator in the cabin. The darn thing runs so loud that it often makes it tough to sleep at night if the MSR door is open. For those of you who have Norcolds, are you experiencing the same thing? I'm not quite ready to replace the fridge as it is fairly new, but would certainly investigate getting it repaired if this is not a typical issue that others are experiencing.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Mine rumbles a little when it cycles on, but the actual running is nothing more than a hum.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I replaced one of the fans in the back of the fridge and it helped for a while. It is rumbling pretty good again so it's time to pull it out, clean and inspect the damn things again. This fridge will be gone within the next year!

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I have had the helm pedestal apart because some of the screws keep breaking. I need to take it apart again now remove a broken one.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Replaced the fridge with a Vitrifrigo and could not be any happier. Bigger, quieter, has an interior light. The bad news is that you have to remove the Nevercold and the fridge cabinet to get the new fridge inside the boat and then put the fridge cabinet back. It is a pain in the posterior.
