410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Question abut the salon base. Should I be able to remove the pole from the base? I have tried to separate it without success. At least then I can store the base under the salon couch/bed, when it is open and stick the pole in a closet. Otherwise it is an accident waiting to happen without the salon table on the pole.

The pole has to go in the aft/garage compartment.
The pole fits nicely standing up tucked away in left side of the port compartment that's behind the salon door when it's open (next to the ice maker).

I had the same thought process so I took it to my local Sea Ray dealer (Colony Marine) and they separated it for me. Now I store both the pole and base under the settee with the table top in the dedicated space under the master berth.

Just want to make sure we have the same base. Mine is the very heavy round one? If so, how did they manage to separate it? Also, when you say settee, do you mean under the couch? It fits in there? Thanks!

If its the table im thinking of...

To remove the pole from the base.
You need to hit the pole on the sides...all around until it comes loose.
(hurt my hands last time).
Its in a taper on the base and can be very tough to get out but, it will come out with heavy tapping all around the pole.

When your putting it back in a little grease or wax will help with the next removal.

Good luck,

Mark.

Looked again under the engine compartment. No go for storage. Previous owner never stowed the table. Any help out there as to where to stow the cockpit table and stansion?

A friend of mine has a 2000 410EC, I will ask him about the table, was on his boat this past Saturday.

Tell me more. My icemaker is in the cockpit.

I believe he is talking about the storage compartment on the port side that is covered by the cabin door when opened...

Indeed I was. Sorry if I said salon door instead of cabin door.

That's right, by settee i mean couch; the base and pole fit there when they are separated. My base is large and heavy but it has 5 prong type legs instead of being solid and round (perhaps a difference from 2000 to 2001). I struggled with separating it from the base so I had my dealer do it for me when I had the boat in for service so I'm not sure how they did it. We have a little toddler running around so I've never attempted to assemble it again as we need the space in the salon.

Any news? Bringing her behind the house on Saturday and would love to stow the table.

Many thanks in advance.

You're bringing the boat behind your house? Stow the table in your garage!

Just spoke to him............he said there was no place to store the factory cockpit table, which he says is rather large. He was going to fabricate some kind of bracket and attach it to the underneath of cockpit floor that raises up. They wound up buying a smaller table instead.

Thanks John. That's what I figured. Looked everywhere and it does not appear that there is anywhere to store it.

HELP, My nevercold of course sh.t the bed. I was reading through this thread and the obvius is nobody like the new norcold fridges. I did some research on the vitrifr4igo DP2600iac I like this fridge but wonder will my cherry panels fit in place of the black?????

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Yep.

Your biggest problem is that you cannot get the Vitrifrigo in the cabin without fully moving the fridge cabinet out of the way. The Vitrifigo is a great fridge with more room and an interior light. My freezer is currently at 8 degrees and the fridge is at 34 degrees.

Not for nothing but I'm not a big fan of the matte black and the S.S looks great but then it doesn't match the other "gold" hardware.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Your panels will fit the Vitrifrigo and if you still want to mess with the project after you have dismantled half the galley and put it back together to get the new fridge in. A few more screws and it will look like the old one.
