You don’t list model, but assuming a 7.6 BTD. That solenoid is about $15 aftermarket. $50 if you want the pleasure of buying it from Westerbeke.
Never heard of Genset 4, can you elaborate? Almost all of these generators are started with a couple relays and parts you can find readily at a local automotive parts house.

They are also called a monoplex genset starting system. I actually have a local guy that may still have one or two. Give Dan Frazier a call at 706-352-7224. We thought I had a bad monoplex module and it turned out to be a bad crimp on a single wire in the control box for the starting circuit. He had two a couple summers ago and said he had them for years.I found a PDF of the wiring diagram on CSR. You can see it in this thread.

The diesel gensets from 97+ with the single start switch have a control module. It should be fairly easy to bypass the pre heat for the glow plugs if I have to.
Yep, that is my understanding of the ID process from what I have read on here many times over the years.Guys, I have a couple dings on my swim platform I'd like to touch up with Spectrum Gelcoat. I have a 98' 400 DA built in Merrit Island. The folks at Spectrum Color are worthless and have four seperate paste repair kits that all cover my model year that say Arctic White. They told me to contact Sea Ray and ask for the gelcoat code. Is that right? Do any of you know what code I should ask for? On my paperwork it just says Arctic White, not Arctic White Ash or Acrtic White Lilly etc.

Has anyone removed the speakers in the v-berth on a 400DA? I need to trace the speaker wires and want to know if I'm going to screw something up by trying to pry the covers off with a plastic trim tool.
Thanks, that's the type of thing I was trying to avoid. Do you remember how they were fastened?I had to shim mine to keep them from falling out after being removed. Not a big deal. I think I just used some self-adhesive velcro strips I had laying around.

In case anyone needs to do this in the future, I was able to tone out the speaker wires to see where they ran without pulling any speakers. The tone receiver worked well enough just by being near the wiring.I had to shim mine to keep them from falling out after being removed. Not a big deal. Apparently, in the history of my boat, someone had two Fusion amps professionally installed under the salon sofa, and then installed a Fusion head unit and ran the speakers directly to the head unit instead of using the wiring to the amps. Two nice Fusion amps under the sofa, powering on every time the stereo comes on, but connected to nothing. SMH.
