410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

Where are the two outlets that you know of on the STBD side located?

One outlet is to the right of the breaker panel, basically on the back side of the helm, same height as the aircon panel. The other is in the double bunk room, foot level. Both are easily visible.

Spent the late afternoon and early evening last night getting the interior straightened out for our first nice day today.

I haven’t seen many 1999/2000’s with the bright white interior. I’ve sold a bunch of 97-98 that had the shiny off white cabinetry or the cherry but haven’t ever seen this again in person.

I always thought I wanted the cherry in one of these when I was looking but I really enjoy the white.

I like it too, it’s very bright. I’m always reminded how jealous I am of the 400’s galley cabinets versus our 410.

carpet is nice too. Did you replace it?

I have the same white interior. It looks like you've also got what appears to be 5000k lighting in there? That makes a big difference in how your counters appear, I would think. I stuck with 3000k LED lighting and it pulls a bit more of the tan/brown out of the counters. Your upholstery is also not original and that may have been lightened up a tad? My couch is definitely on the tan side. Overall looks awesome, especially with that fridge. I'm leaning toward buying the black front fridge but your photos have me thinking twice about that!

I had the cherry interior on my 340 and ended up with white on my 400. I still vastly prefer the darker interior but my admiral says the white is more in style now and she prefers it. So....that's that I guess :)

The 1997 interior is definitely different, at least it is in my friends 97 and 98, but still very nice. The white in mine is a matte finish which I haven't seen before.

The upholstery is original 2000 vintage.

My carpet was replaced about 4 years ago according to the last owner. I like the color he chose overall.

Thank you, slowly getting rid of all the gold on the boat. It’s a process.

Let me know when you decide on replacement lighting. Between outrageous pricing, the wrong warmth level of LED, dimmable options or footprint, I’ve made no progress.

Good to know! Sounds like a nice combo. A matte finish would certainly solve my "kids fingerprints on every cabinet" issue.

And if it's not just lighting I do definitely like that you don't have the tan tones that I have. Nothing screams "builder grade" to me more than tan anything. ha.

Are you looking for warmer or cooler LED's?

I've used these Amazon cheapo's for a while now. They match the incandescent color temp. I tried moving up to 4000k but couldn't take it. Loved the 4000k on my 340 with the cherry interior, hate it with the white interior on my 400.

I need to replace the fixtures themselves. Aside from my effort to de-gold, 4 of mine have failed.

I’ll try those bulbs though, so thanks. I wouldn’t be surprised if the heat of the halogen bulbs has played a role in the failures of the fixtures.

Ohh man...I've been so tempted to buy pewter/polished fixtures a bunch of times. I just can't bring myself to do it. Silly money for those fixtures. And then I'd have to do the cabinet knobs too! I'd rather buy a 16" MFD for the money :)

PSA for you 400/410ers - if you haven't checked in a while take a gander at your wiper motor connection (no idea the proper name for this). I noticed over the weekend that my starboard side had some gaps that have developed. There may have been sealant there before, but it's long gone.

I think I may have hit with the area with my buffer this year, removing any sealant that was left. It definitely needs to be addressed.

Quick and easy fix and I'm glad I saw it.

Removed my old uline icemaker this weekend and put in a new one, it is larger so I have removed the cabinetry and carpeted divider in that compartment. The tan carpeting in there needs some love and I would like to replace it and make the whole compartment look nicer. Does anyone know where to source it?

Were I to redo that area I'd go with one of the new synthetic flooring options available. Shoot, even the off brand SeaDek stuff? Peel and stick will set you free :)

Did those bulbs fit into the original fixtures ok? I bought some previously and they were too long. Let me know as this is a great upgrade!

I did not have any fit issues with mine. IIRC the bulbs do touch the frosted lens when fully screwed on but this did not bother me...

Brian I used the same ones Stee used. If you want to stop by Seabreeze 34 on your way out to Mr. Mac I have some extra you can try out to see if you like them. Mine touch the frosted lens as well but it doesn't bother me either. If I see you at the marina I'll drop one off to you.

Great! Thanks! I will be a little late getting in this year. I ordered a SeaWeed dingy davit system and it will take 2 weeks for it to be made, this will delay my launch date by a couple of weeks but should be worth it to be able to take my dingy where ever I want to go! I will post pictures during the installation.
