390 EC complete restoration thread

Okay, that's a lot better!!!!
That use of black in the cockpit really makes it standout. I think that you said that you used Sunbrella material. It is looking really good!
If anybody from Hollywood sees that boat, they will want to use it for a movie shoot. Just one time and you would have your investment back.
Is that Capri in the background?

It's all Sunbrella, including the headliner in the cabin. Let's see how it will perform in the cockpit...

In the background is the the Isle of Ponza and Palmarola in the Pontine Islands. Some 60 miles north of Capri.
These are some pics of mine (I'll add some) on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pmoon/sets/72157606968613872/

btw, I like your 270!!!

You are an artist. You have exceptionally good taste.
Advertisers for some of the products that you have used should pick up on your boat. I mean, go look at the advertising for swimplatforms, flexteek, sunbrella -- your use of materials puts their ads to shame!
Congratulations on a great job!

Electrical Doctor: Off subject, but, kind of wondering if you happen to know of or ever see "Eau My Love, Too". It was an 1989 390 that ran out of Montreal. When we were up there, we would do parts of the "Triangle" with them. However, have lost track of Pete. Do you know anything?

That is pretty neat, you can use google earth to zoom in on the port at Ponza on the Isola di Ponza.

Yeah, they probably would. Just threw it out there to humor you!

....
As one who also loves to restore old things, I can relate to the passion you must have. But I am quickly bored after a project such as your's wraps up....what's next!?!!

Tom

Tom, I was thinking of one of these....

Well had I knew you were that cute I may have taken you up on the plane tickets.......

Pietro
I think you did a great job and everything was very well thought out. Looks great. You should be proud.
Congrats and enjoy,

There was a triangular piece of wood, yes. It came out easily as we removed the foam.

What exactly was the problem with your shower drain leak Pietro? Did the pipe come loose fron the drain fitting or did the pipe crack? We do not have a problem at this point in time, but I do want to keep an eye on it just the same.
