Royal Flush:
After having a problem with the batteries my eFlex system went black and would not respond. My fix is as follows (Note: the "did not work" comments were for Sea Ray Service who offered an approach that I had to modify):
1. Undid the screws around the panel - excluding those attached to the hinge (though you do need to take off the two lower corners)
2. Undid both red wires
3. Putting the red 12 gauge wire DID NOT put the system back on. *Putting both back on after taking off for ten seconds also DID NOT work.
4. Leaving both off for at least a minute (i.e., must be a capacitor in the circuit) and then putting on the 12 guage power and then the 14 guage data line DID bring the screen back to life.
Note, pretty much everything will be off so you need to manually turn back on things like AC, etc.*on the screen.
Hope this helps
Don
