36 Sedan Bridge Owners

Curious why you sold the motor yacht and searching for a sedan bridge.

Interested in a 36 sedan, but the one I like is a little too far to bring back on the water. I believe someone on this thread hauled one over land.. wondering how involved that was?

New 2007 36 DB owner here and I a question:
When I purchased the boat several months ago, the black water tank gauge on the touch screen indicated 50% full. After several weeks of use, it still showed 50% full as I am not sure if the gauge was correct. So I decided to pump out to be safe. After the pump out, the gauge showed 0%. So I was happy thinking that the gauge is working OK. But after a couple of weeks of use, the gauge still shows 0% full. Now I am wondering, does this gauge supposed to show levels in increments of 1%, or just 25% then 50%, and so fort.
Thank you very much for any help and/or advise.

Mine only reads 50% and I assume 100% but have not hit or tested the 100% level. It wasn't reading at all when purchased the boat in 2018 until I had it serviced. Once working, when mine got up to 50% I put a tape mark on the tank and it is a bit higher up the tank than I expected. I was disappointed it didn't read in gallons like the fresh water or at least in quarters. I'd be curious to hear input from other owners if anyone else get's reads other than 50 and 100% as well.

Also, a liveaboard turned me on to Zaal No Flex Digestor for treatment and I haven't looked back. Occasionally I fill my tank about 75% with fresh water and put extra treatment in there between boat uses. It breaks down the the hard/dry deposits in the tank. I also replaced the filter which was clearly the original and what a difference. :)

Than you for the comments.
My fresh water tank gauge reads in 1% increments, so I can actually see the movement when someone is in the shower, or if I am filling the tank, the gauge creeps slowly up or down.

Ditto - It's annoying the black water gauge doesn't read in more useful increments. I have to get down and hold a flashlight to the side of the tank at times. The fresh water gauge is great - I had to replace my fresh water pump and the new one is 4gpm so I know what you mean. We compete on who can take the shortest usage shower haha. I installed a shutoff below the shower head so when showering its super easy to reduce the pressure or turn it off between soaping up.

OK, now that you mentioned it, where is the fresh water pump located. I also have an issue with it. It turns on and off for 1/2 second every minute, so I suspect a leak. But the funny thing is that when I turn on the water heater and the water in the water heater tank becomes hot, that 1/2 second pump noise disappears.

Mine is under the stairs on the bulkhead wall pretty much behind the sink. Most likely a minor leak somewhere, it only takes a small drip to cause occasional cycling of the pump. I had a a leaking shower head and a leaking head feed when I bought mine. The shower issue I had to replace the shower cartridge and valves which was a pain. The head feed was just loose.

OK, will take a look this weekend. Thanks again for the advise.

What about your ePlex system, do you have any issue with it?

No issues thus far (knocking on wood) other than every electrician is afraid of it. I wanted to add an inverter but no electrician wants to risk potential issues.

Mine froze twice already in two months. Each time, I had to shutdown everything to do a reset. I checked the batteries and they seem good. So I am wondering what caused those glitches. When the ePlex is down, all the AC circuits are still functioning (stove, microwave, fridge, etc.) thru the physical switches behind the TV. But the DC circuits, especially for the water pumps (fresh and black) are no longer accessible. So we ended up without lights, water and the toilet will not flush. I had to go down the engine room to shutdown everything to reset. I am wondering if I can install physical switches for these two pumps so that when the ePlex screen is down, I can still turn on those motors.

Anyone have under water lights on their 360 DB that can share photos?
Also, do the "Hull" rocker switches have the EPLEX module dimming feature?

The Hull rocker switch does not dim the underwater lights but it does permit you select a color by turning it off and then back on again as the lights scroll through the color spectrum. Just bought and installed a new 4 gang eplex switch on the transom yesterday as mine was corroded like most of them at this point. These lights are amazing.

Thank You for sharing!! I just installed two SeaBlaze X2's using the existing wiring. Can't wait to see them when we launch in 10 days! Great to know the rocker switches will allow the programing! I had a plan "B" ready to go by wiring in an exclusive switch outside of the Eplex system for that control feature!

They are expensive but well worth the money IMO. They scroll though the color spectrum rapidly when turned on then more slowly. A quick on off at the transom or bridge switch will maintain that color. They do eat power so best on shore power or genset. 20 amps for 4 lights.

Installed these SeaBlaze X2 lights and wired them to the existing wires for the HULL lights but the two rocker HULL switches and the HULL switch on the touch screen above the tv do not turn the lights on, and the touchscreen button does not light up. I did a programing of the module #12, channel 84, but it did not help. Did you have to do anything to the module to get your lights working?

Any 36 DB owner have the factory underwater lights installed thru transom (white and kind of small) Found one burned out on survey and wanted to know the make and even hole diameter in case I can't just replace bulb and have to go with another non-factory brand, much appreciated
can you send pics?

Just purchase a 2007 Sea Ray Sedan Bridge 360 GAS in Jan. 2018. I picked up the boat in Clearwater, FL and drove the boat home to North East, MD. I learned a lot about the boat on this trip. I had it in the GULF, Atlantic and the ICW. It took me a total of 13 boating days to get it home averaging 150-200 miles per day. I have now had it at it's new home for a couple of months and have some minor issues that I could use some help with.....

-I read on here that someone else had this same issue but I never saw if it was resolved. After a really hard rain storm I get a large wet spot inside the rear sliding door that has a trail of water to the starboard side. I have tried tracing where this water is coming from but have had no luck.....Any thoughts???

-My Hull/Underwater lights will turn on and off but they will then turn back on by themselves and stay on. I can still turn them off but then they come back on?? I reset the E-Plex multiple times, Do you think I need a new module??

-My Freezer will not come on with DC but the Fridge does???

-When I'm on the hook my batteries will go stone dead after 8-10hrs and emergency start will not start the boat I have to jump it??? I'm only running Fridge, some lights and radio??

Sorry for all the questions
Thanks,
AJ
Did you resolve your underwater lights problem? Was the Module (#12) bad?

I'm having an issue with my underwater hull lights coming on all by themselves. I think I narrowed it down to the switch panel at the top of the stairs on the bridge. It is a Sea Ray Part Number 1816878 Module, EDS 4-SW. I called Marine Max and they do not have one. They contacted Sea Ray and they do not have one but it is still available with a 5-6 week lead time and a cost of $1,308. Has anyone had this issue? Any way to repair cheaper? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
