I used lockview marina to ship my 340 from MD to Upstate NY. They have the low boy trailer so no need to take down the radar arch. Quality place and everything went smoothly.

The speedometer and the SmartCraft speed display have stopped working. I did some research and apparently this could be caused by a blockage in the speed transducer.
I read an article that says you can remove this while still in the water (it is a through hull fitting) and replace it with the plug that is supplied while you clean or replace it.
On my boat the transducer is located behind the port engine and looks almost impossible to reach. Has anyone attempted this and if so any suggestions. Is there anything else I should check first?
Ok, here is a question for the mechanics that read this forum... I have an 06 340 with 6.2L Vdrives. When I'm cruising, there appears to be exhaust coming from the sides of the boat, but I thought that when you were underway at cruising speed that the exhaust changed to underwater mode. Am I mistaken? How can I tell if the underwater exhaust system is working correctly? Thanks for the help. This forum has been a great help in getting things working right in my boat.
Great Lakes Canvas made the oringal carpet runners... They are a CSR sponsor, and give use a discount at times... Ask for a CSR discount...Hi folks. Just purchased a 2003 340!! Looking forward to enjoying the boat. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get carpet runners.
Thanks,
Mark
I recaulked both skylights, but still have damp carpet. I now think it may be caused when I fill the fresh water tank (seems to coincide with that event now that I'm paying attention). Any ideas where the fill hose runs? I know the water tank is in the center of the aft berth bench seat, but I don't know where the fill line or vent line runs.
