2020 Lake Michigan Rendezvous

I wonder if I can find someone in Milwaukee to fly a few RC airplanes over my boat. The kids expect the Blue Angels but I never told them what scale they would be....

Maybe we can get @sfergson727 to do some fly bys in his Cherokee... pretty sure he would have a hard time convincing the FAA to let him use either the 757 or 767 for us...

Now all we have to hope is the lake is not angry for us that have to cross the lake.

OK. I'm in... I will be in Slip #8... I will arrive Friday evening by maybe 7:00pm.

No there is a small marina just south of McKinely Marina that is where some of us are staying. It is a state park marina. It's Lakeshore state park.

OK - got it - know it well. Has an agenda been put together? We would be coming down from Port Washington for the day or weekend depending on schedule if there would be room - maybe at the dock by Discovery World.

Thank you

Leland on the 4th. We talked about S Manitou on the hook for the 5th. Love that island

Its Marty.....There is a protected cove on the east side. It is deep right up until shore but there is a flat for good anchorage on the southern part of the cove. You will see blow boaters anchored there. Dinghy to shore and hike a great island. There is a museum by the lighthouse but I think it has been Whitmerized and is shut down for the season. I do know that all ferry service to the island from Leland has been canceled so you wont have much company. Manitou is great for scenery, rustic camping and hiking as well as enjoying Michigan north woods. Be careful of the bird sanctuary on the north end of the island. They are serious about protecting the plovers

Mike I am there now, took the dik to the old wreck at the south end of the inland today. Gonna go explore Tuesday, heading back on Wednesday.
Jim
