2008 Rendezvous TN River?

I am routed thru Atlanta, I mapped it in expedia and it took me thru Carolina and yes that was a lot longer. I pulled up Map Blast (Live Search) and it sent me thru Atlanta. You went about an hour from where I am for your trip down here.

The more I'm hearing. We may want to make Euchee our base of operation and then do day trips out of it. Euchee has a lot of options for land based lodging (Hotel, Cabins, etc) plus land based activities. It has some nice transit slips for the one that are going to be staying on their boat. SR360Aft do you think it would be worth a run to Terrace for a meal? Have you been to their restaurant? I know a trip to Calhoun would be worth it. Any other place you can think about?

The landings sounds like a hit to me. I think I saw it when I went by the cove entrance back in August. Looked like the place was hoping!

Well I've had a couple PMs about the TN River trip. If we are going to do this we need to set some dates. Lets hear some thoughts. What I hearing is some will be able to come in for the week and some just for the weekend. The 4th is on a Friday. Post if you are interested. Here is the list I've so far that has shown interest. Please post if you are interested so we can get an est head count.

Chuck,

I am not sure if I am going to be able to make it as we may have a prior obligation for the week of the 4th. Count me out for now...that is unless the lake levels are still down :(

The 4th is a tough weekend. There are too many activities in home waters. We usually go around July 15 or so.

Bill, Looking forward to seeing the new boat.

Right now I will drive up on Wed and come home on Sunday, at least that is what I am planing at this time.

Talking with Euchee yesterday. Said that they are starting to fill up for then end of June and the 1st of July 2008. We need to set this if we are going to do it. Lets hear from everybody that want to make it there. Looks like it is going to be a good time for all. Lets hear some ideas on what you want to do. Who is up for a trip down to Chattanooga one day? etc.

I'd like to but it's to early for me to make any kind of commitment.

I sure would like to go. It is hard to make a comitment at this time though.

It would be odd being such a small boat with all you guys.

Kyle f, Go ahead and commit now, if something comes up you can always cancel later.
The small boat thing is nothing, I was in PCB for the 07 and I was the small boat, we had a 450 as the largest and my 185 as the smallest, didn't bother me at all. If I can make this one. and I plan to at this time, I will still be the smallest boat unless someone comes with a 175, it is the fun that counts.

Morpheus, You should go ahead and commit also, that way if you can, there will be space available.

Chuck count me in. I also like the idea of a run up to Chattangoohe. My vacation form arrives next week and then I will find out if I get my request to go on this trip. Keep your fingers crossed.

Kylef as far as being the small boat don't worry about that. I had a 175 for years and took it every where always being the small boat. The problem with being the small boat is you will see bigger boats. Once you see bigger boats you will get the "itis" disease which is incurable until treated with a bigger boat. Come an join us you will have a great time and burn a lot less fuel than we will.
