2000 410 Sundnacer

If you can hold up a day or two, the guy down the dock has a 2000 410DA. I can measure his dash when I go down there tomorrow. I bought a new panel from Technographics so the install would look factory. It is a tight squeeze and there is no room for error in cutting the hole, but, it does fit, at least on a 2001 410DA.

A picture is worth a thousand.....well, you know.

His plan is off in the ditch then. I am taking the cover off the pool, changing a belt on the tiller and planting some flowers.

I'm in the process of replacing the electronics on my "new to me" boat. My installer told me that the e127 wouldn't fit where the original R41XX screen was so I'm going with the e97. Was it a tight squeeze for you? I know they may have tweaked the layout of the dash a bit in 2001 compared to 2000 so maybe that gives you some extra space. My equipment isn't in yet so I'm just wondering if it's possible to go with the e127 instead of the e97 and it doesn't seem like the incremental cost is that much.

I forgot to do this. It is on my "list" now and I will be at the boat tomorrow and update this post. I apologize for not getting it done.

Oh no worries at all. I actually measured my dash space last weekend and I'm thinking it is a bit too small to fit the e127 based on the dimensions listed on the Raymarine website. The part toward the top half where it becomes narrower is what is squeezing it out. My bet is they made the space a bit bigger in 2001.

I am at the boat measuring the 2000 DA next door and my 2001 DA. I cannot see any difference in the measurements.

Why don't you call Raymarine and ask one of them to send you the template for the device, then you'll know for sure. I would hate to buy a smaller dispaly if I could fit the larger one.

Here is what mine looks like.

I have a bathroom light fixture that has come separated from the fiberglass ceiling above the sink. What is the best way to repair this? Is there a recommended adhesive I can use to remount the light fixture? Thanks!

Hmmmmm...

All of the light fixtures on all of the ceilings on my boat have two springs on them that clamp the light to the ceiling. (pull the other fixture in the head down to compare-WATCH THE SPRINGS-they are like a moustrap and will make you say bad words, even if you don't normally say bad words, if you get a finger caught in one.

I think you have a broken spring or two which means you have to purchase a new fixture. Using adhesive would keep you from changing a burnt out light bulb.

Wow..this thread has lots of comments. Seems allot of us have 2000 410 dancers. We have one and this is our third summer. Our kids are grown adults but I don't see an issue with two pre teens sleeping in the aft. Most adults who have stayed have commented the electric divan is a bit short but it also allows to limit their stay. Their isn't much room between the ceiling and the pull down, we use it for storage. I must say we pull the divan in the main salon divan when we have company (family) we want to stay longer than one night.

We have converted all lights to LED and had the unfortunate exercise of changing our (Norcold) nevercold fridge. Buy a NovaKool.

This boat is very roomy and comfortable. We have also been out on the St.Lawrence River in 25kt winds. With the autopilot, it really wasn't bad. Big props provide lots of bite when docking so a bow thruster isn't required. Sorry I don't have any comments on the 7.4, we have Cat 3116TA's and they have been excellent.

Hope this helps

Steve

Here is what I think you are looking for:

Check the color of the trim ring. They come in a couple of different colors.

Looks like that may be an LED model so unless you swap the bulb, the light that's emitted may not match your other fixtures. I bet you could order them from Colony Marine. The part number and description is: "894774 LIGHT, DAVID-EYEBALL GLD/TRIM RING CHR/FRST L"

I need to change my holding tank SaniGard filter on my 410DA. I am not at the boat right now and don't know where the filter is located. Is this easy to change or do I need to be a contortionist to get to it? It was simple on my Formula so I am hoping for the same setup. Also, is it the 5/8" diameter? Thanks!

Mine is up on the rear part of the holding tank. Not to bad to get to.

It depends on how big you are. Easiest way to get to the filter is to crawl behind the port engine. Not a ton of room behind engine, but doable. I have been thinking of moving it to make it easier to access, just not sure to where. Also not sure if extending it with a longer hose would negatively effect the design.

Correct, I am 6' 2"+ and about 220 right now and I change mine but have to contort to get back there. Once there the task is less than 5 minutes. You can buy replacements from Better Boat Products on EBay. The seller is a member here, do a search...
