2 Two Month Long Cruise PCB to St Pete

Weather looks good, how was the ride? Did you take the inside all the way down to the bay?

The ride was awesome. I have dozens of great video/pics. I am having a tough time with Photosucket right now. So, for you locals, is my first impression highly over-inflated, or do you guys really live in Paradise? This is really awesome. Wife is actually talking about putting our most cherished belongings in storage and living aboard. Then, we'll rent a beach house to have the kids/families over for the holidays - WOW!

We moved here 27 years ago from the Baltimore/Washington area and IMO think its the best area on the west coast all around. Its reasonable again with some prices down almost 50%.

Early retirement, liveaboard,...your living my future!

You know, a thought comes to mind. You seem to enjoy documenting your travels, people like to read them because your good at it. If you move aboard there might be a future in writing about your travles and adventures for you. If you sell some copies,(unlike Gary) you might be able to live the dream, and help finance it too! Just a thought. When you write, I can imagine the scene you set. That is difficult for a writer to do.

Ah, just me babbling and living vicarously through you. have a good time. Back to work....now what was I doing.........

I have lived here since 1990 (origionally from Long Island) and feel like I have been on vacation for almost 22 years!

I've been here since 1983 from outside of Chicago and don't ever plan on leaving. I lived in Melbourne Fl for a coupel of years and it's not the same as the West Coast that's for sure.

Very kind words - thank you. I am early retired, but working full time. I can commute from almost anywhere as an airline pilot. I may write some day, but, blogging is different in that you get feedback which helps to direct which way the conversation should flow. I'm afraid to write about the true stories of my life. Most people wouldn't believe them, my family would dis-own me, my wife would divorce me, and I couldn't look at myself in the mirror (no change there).

How's that SE wind at the Vinoy? Rockin and rollin yet.

Very nice, little, rock back and forth. The biggest issue is that we are surrounded by vertical concrete. What better way to accentuate 6" rollers than to surround yourself with a perfect reflecting barrier. I am actually rocking like a little baby right now on the bridge. It's quite comforting to me. Guests might be inclined to puke - please puke in the water near the lights and the camera. Nothing like chumming when fishing or photographing.

Wait! More uploads. I've been slow leaking you - kind of like Photobucket.

I was in the military (Navy) and we carried a seal team. I was part of the helo team. I understand about the unbelievable stories. I probably have a bunch of them also, as do many ex military personnel do. I always remember the saying, "we get more done in the morning, than most people get done all day!" so true. I can't count how many times I've never been to Cuba! haha All in the name of service man.

Attention on deck! Head up sir, that man in the mirror wore the uniform. "hand salute" my hats off to you John. Thank you for your service sir. Ready 2.
