If you have SeaCore or A closed cooling system you are at normal operating temp. Raw water cooled engines run a little higher temp. Is your engine fuel injected or do you have a carb? If you have fuel injection check the IAC valve. If you have a carb, check your choke setting.

How low did you set the temp? I have seen this if you try to set temp down real low. I set mine at 70-71. Low freon level in A/C will also cause this issue.

Fuel injected engines do not have a choke. If you engine runs good at higher RPM's and not bogging down, I would rule out fuel filter issues. I still would take a look at you IAC. The IAC is only active at idle, and you could relate it to a choke on a carbureted engine. If your engine runs good...
