Take the oil filter off and CAREFULLY cut it open without making any metal chips pull out the filter media and inspect what type of metal if any is in there.. ie babbit,chrome . It will give you a good idea where to start looking. good luck

im not syre about your model but i agree with running a constast hot to the midship pump. maybe to a different battery than the aft pump. is there a high water alarm?

Check solenoids/if they are clicking and there is fluid in the resevior. If the boat is still in the water put the drive in foward and at the same time energize the trim down button. If it goes down i will bet its the seals coroded in the piston caps. Rebuild /replace

Allen I think there might be a difference . Mine has toggle switches, but there is a breaker Im gonna have to trace the wires back from there. I will put my findings up on here. Thanks buddy

Check alternator a shorted diode pack will draw current. Meters are great but a easier way is to put a test lght in series with battery cable. a glowing test light indicates current flow. Start opening breakers /lifting wires untill glowing stops. keeping in mind normal parasitic draw co...
